Shootings "happen". Are you saying it's okay for someone to go out and shoot someone in the gut? I mean, after all, they aren't killing them or anything. They're just causing a lot of pain.

It doesn't happen to every guy, and those guys it does happen to need to learn the life skills they need to get themselves out of such situations. And the skill is NOT "learn how to beat the **** out of people and intimidate them so much that they leave you alone" - that's PROPOGATING the problem.
