Plus, you have to pay to get into these things, which sucks because I could usually hang with friends for free. I understand that many people like to go to these school events and show their spirit and I think that is cool of them, but it would be so much nicer if schools held events that were more relevant. Also, back to the original topic, it does seem like school officials should lighten up and stop giving empty threats all the time. Oh well, not much you can do about it considering that school directors never listen to student suggestions no matter how much they say our input is important. It's stupid nonetheless, schools don't seem to do a lot more than make empty threats and promises(at least in my experience). >_<
our only rallies are when we're about to play our school-long rival, Homecoming, or our last game (which couldn't have gone any better). it's also the chance for our athletic classes - cheerleaders, Tiger Dancers, etc. - to show off their stuff

at Stony Point High School, pep rallies aren't excuses to get out of class - it's a chance to get down

but yes, the whole dance thing is true. maybe it's the fact that deep down inside, they wanna boogie down 'till they piss themselves, but they aren't confident enough

also, dances for us (considering we don't have any teen clubs nearby) are quite rare, no matter which school it is, and would like to chill there than trying to get a ****ty PS2 to work at home

edit: dances and other stuff shouldn't be banned. in my opinion, just weekends aren't enough breaks for us
