Twilight Princess is so much fun. I'd claim the reason I've played so long and am nowhere in the game is that I'm taking my time and trying to find everything, but I'd be lying. Well, I am trying to find everything, but that's not why it's taken me so long to get this far. Once I get stuck, I'm bad at getting unstuck. I'm doing fine right now, but I probably spent three full hours looking for something really obvious.
I played Red Steel multiplayer at a friend's house. It really only took me maybe 10 minutes to figure out just what to do and stop getting my ass kicked. Locking on doesn't really lock on like I figured it would. It's pretty misleading, but not a problem as long as you give the game a chance for at least a little while. I didn't think the controls were bad otherwise, and my arm didn't get tired at all. My only real complaint about multiplayer is that the graphics are pretty bad. The other people look like they're from Goldeneye.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is incredibly awesome. Single player is more fun than it was on GC. I thought the ability to jump would cheapen the game, but it really just adds a whole new dimension. On the downside, the bosses are pretty lame. The party games are fun. I didn't think a whole lot of the ones I played have a lot of replayability, but everything is a blast at least the first time around. Red Light, Green Light gets
really tiring after a few straight games, but that's not a bad thing. ++ for hilarity factor. Monkey Target has received a serious downgrade, though.
I haven't played Trauma Center: Second Opinion yet, but I'll see if GameStop or Target (10% discount) has a copy. I watched my friend play it, and it looks really fun.
Those seem like the five games everyone is talking about. The only other launch game I'd really consider buying is Downhill Jam. I'm a sucker for Tony Hawk games.
