That means very little. Our area is not used to six inch rains or 60-80 mph winds which is "not a strong Cat 1 Hurricane." Bless the downgrade and resume assuming the worst.

New updates. Irene thought to start drifting away from direct Jersey impact to along the coast. Hurricane will still hit Tropical storm force into south Jersey around 2-3 AM early on Sunday morning....
