That would work as far as seeing it, it will be slightly low quality/slow refresh due to how RDP works. If you have decent upload it will be better. How is your speedtest.net upload? If the webcam...

All version of windows have Remote Access using RDP. It requires a little setup, as well as router config, it is very easy to implement. I use HP for all my remoting and networking needs.

Sager is what alienware was should have been. Keep in mind this is intel integrated GPU. I can honestly say I have never had to repair a Sager. Only had to upgrade them as far as RAM and SSD are...

Dell is 6M cache QUAD supporting 1600 RAM 3rd gen (lower power consumption overall, smaller architecture aka more transistors on chip.)...

Upgrade laptop to a SSD. If it is stock you have a 5400RPM spinny. WIll see huge increase in load/save times with SSD upgrade.

Build a desktop if you really want to smoke what you have.
