I've gotten better at digital art in Photoshop

DeviantArt Link

Spent at least 8 or possibly 10 hours on this.

Sketching was easy, lineart took forever, and coloring was challenging - especially when it came to Maku's (the guy) hair.

If you've seen my earlier drawings in Photoshop, you can tell that this is a big improvement, although I used a photo reference this time - obviously making it better.

Done with a mouse, not a tablet.

I thought it was a good job when I saw the final product. Then I saw that you did it with a mouse. That's amazing.

the nose and mouth on the chick are still fairly masculine-esque but overall I think you're improving. gj, especially considering it was done with mouse.

Masculine?! D:

She's not supposed to be girly, really. She's more of like this buff and tough warrior kind of girl.

But thanks! :3

I want to draw more scenes with this couple. <33 and I guess I'll try to make her look not so.. manlyish. ._.

The girl is actually human-born; a mix between a genetically advanced human species and just a regular Japanese human. However, she takes on the form of a fire demon at times, after having a curse placed upon her.

The guy is a fox demon that takes the form of a human at times - with only the tail and ears visible when he does so.

<3 I seriously love these characters though, so I will definitely have another drawing done in the next couple of days if school doesn't overwhelm me with tons of homework again.

Crazy that you only used a mouse. Even with a tablet it would still be quite impressive. Great job.

Practice. I've been using a mouse to draw on Photoshop and Oekaki's since I was like 10.

Here's one I did today.

Image referenced.

Very very impressive, great art, and with a mouse! =O
That last picture, it's good, but I dunno something isn't right. Her upper body is too tall, like her upper-chest area, and her face seemed too... big. But it was still really good! Kepp it up!

That's the reference picture.

>__> It's pretty much in proportion with it, I think. You can even check for yourself, or I could just take a screenshot of how I outlined her figure on Photoshop. I changed a few things too. It might be her breast that makes it took awkward. Not sure. I might fix it later if I get the chance.

EDIT: Ugh, seriously, I think you're right now. The more I look at it, the more I want to fix it. I will definitely try to fix it tomorrow if I have time.

EDIT 2: I got to fix it today. I think it looks better now, but I'm not going to fix it any more than this.
