Dance

In my school and I'm sure many others, people seem to discriminate dance for guys.

I have mixed feelings on this subject.

On one hand, I see it as sort of a cool thing. After all you get to hold up girls and dance with them IF you are in the jazzy type dance.

However on the other hand, I think guys dancing ballet is just wrong. It seems incredibly gay. Prancing around on your tip toes and making graceful movements with your arms. I just don't think it was meant for guys.

My school play is rehearsing, and the male dancers have to wear fucking lipstick. yeah....

Tell me what you feel about guy ballet dancers, and I am sorry if I offended any of you guy ballet dancers out there.

Guys wearing make-up on stage is normal. It's so you don't look like a zombie under the lights.

Tupac took ballet at his arts school. You play FFR/DDR, do you know how "gay" some people think that is.

Girls like a guy who will dance with them all night, not sit there and make fun of other guys for dancing while they sit back and try to look cool.

No, you said ballet was homosexual. So what. Ballet isnt something that I'd watch, but if you enjoy doing, who cares. Just because you like to dance rather poetically, doesnt make you like men.

tristia 03-25-2004 10:01 PM

I don't see anything wrong with men in ballet...
It's just a form of expression and entertainment like anything else,
Generally guys who sing, or draw, or write don't get looked down upon for it, and it does the same thing as ballet.
It all just depends on what you enjoy doing, and for some, thats ballet.

I don't see anything wrong with a guy doing ballet, let alone being homosexual :S Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves, and if it's with ballet, so be it. This could amost go into one of those sex debates, about how some things are meant for girls, and some things are meant for boys, but honestly, does it really matter? People should be able to do whatever they want without being looked down upon.

IAMTHEEVILBEAN 03-25-2004 10:11 PM

It seems incredibly #$*.

I only said it seems extremly gay. I never said it was. even though I strongly hinted at it...

Anticrombie0909 03-25-2004 10:32 PM

I don't think the actual dancing would appear homosexual to me (although it is a bit strange), what I find disturbing is the ability to wear tights without wincing. I mean, what, are they packing two inchers? How do they do it?

And yeah, girls might say it's 'poetic' and such, but if you saw a guy prancing around with green skintight leotards, would you do him?

perfect_fat 03-26-2004 03:47 AM

Football players wear tights and slap each other on the rear. Go to a pracitce of your local football team next season, and tell them how ghey they look. Maybe they'll wake up and realize how homoerotic their pursuits are.

IAMTHEEVILBEAN 03-26-2004 08:39 AM

I play football (Parents force me to...no joke) and some of the guys do do that. I don't know why...

And they aern't tights they are pants.

jazzmosis 03-26-2004 04:03 PM

Something about ballet with guys in skin tight pants prancing around.

Makes me want to vomit. In fact, I don't even enjoy girl's ballet.. or girl's cheerleading, or dancing in a formulated way.

Freestyle is the only way to go.

Well, bean is a retard for saying that he didn't say ballet was gay when he obviously did, but other than that, to each his own. I mean it would be pretty hypocritical for me to say that that is gay when I play DDR, which makes you look like a pansy-ass fruitcake. If it's fun, I really don't care. It's that people who make fun of someone for doing what they like that I would look down on.

hmmmmmmmmmmm....i wont get into how many things are worng with that

anyway i can honestly say i respect those guys...you know that they didnt just wake up and start dancing like that, it takes hard work...anyone who can put that much time into anything is admirable...maybe they do seem gay just because they act and dress like women on stage, but its just a stupid stereotype...

VxDx 03-26-2004 07:59 PM

there's nothing wrong with that. I said it'd be hypocritical for me to look down on someone that dances when I rhythmically press arrows just becasue they look like a pansy. there's nothing wrong with looking down on people for being closed-minded assholes (except for asians...).

makaveli121212 03-26-2004 08:04 PM

the hypocritical was bolded to go along with the other sentence...implying that the other bolded sentence was hypocritical...i just think its pretty ironic coming from you

To keep warm, and to be free from the inevitable rashes from wearing sweat pants under your football pants, tights are the solution.

And just because they're called pants, doens't mean they're not tights. They stretch just like tights, and they're tight just like tights.....
