Feng Shui
What do guys think of it?
I got a book on it yesterday and found out after going through a complex number system and making a big geomantic chart that my house is in danger of burning down by natural causes and its letting in a lot of destructive energy. Anyways, I thought it was really interesting. |
I know nothing about it, but from an ignorant outsider's view, it sounds like a good hobby--moving around your furniture and such so it's in the right order for whatever. But it doesn't seem like anything more than that.

Thats a part of it. You also have to make sure which rooms correlate well with your element (wood, metal, water, fire, earth). A bad bedroom could mean illness. And satellite dishes, which are both reflective, and have antennas, gather and focus tons of destructive energy and thus are very bad. And then there's the whole protection thing, having the Green Dragon (trees and bushes), White Tiger (stone and gravel) and Black Tortoise (a moutain, or fence, or hilly slope) guarding your left, right, and back of the house (Red Raven for the front is optional). Its crazy, but its fun if you have a weekend to kill.

sounds like it is something asian and therefor not worth a damn...like asian cars, or tv shows, or music, etc
|
Its pretty much the art of Asian Gypsy Magic-ism. Like Ms.Cleo and her Tarot Cards, but Asian people with Feng-Shui.
|
Right- it's not like all Asians practice Feng Shui (i don't), it's more of a cultish thing- tarot cards is a good example.
Still, if you actually take the time to practice Feng Shui and keep to it, I guess it shows, because everything around the house would be really organized and tidy, which makes for a more relaxing atmosphere than a REALLY messy house (sorta messy is ok for me). |
Yea feng-shui is a dumb japanese belief a lot of rich people are into it and that negative energy stuff is bullshit
|
Prove it's bull, wise-ass.
