I'll grab a version of the source code if I have time and mess around with it and see if I can't code a version of it that works on older versions of windows... |

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping
Could any programmers convert this into .dmg or something usable for Macs? With the new "Macbook"s that have Safari (which claims to run Flash faster and claims to be a faster type of browser overall) there is going to be a huge need for remapping and there are no remaps available for Macs since Mac's do not run .exe. If someone could code a remap for Mac's, that would be really nice. That's all I ask for Christmas... Besides my new MacBook Pro >.<

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping
Hello and Happy New Year folks....
I've been busy for the last couple of months, so I haven't been active here. Back now with the new version (1.10) I promised a while back. This one supports joypads, dancepads, Guitar Hero controllers and pretty much any other input peripheral. Basic usage is still the same, it should be pretty intuitive: http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/ffr_keymap.html I'm afraid I may not have too much time for support... Notes: - I've reduced the installer's minimum version requirement, maybe that will help those on Windows 2000 - To use the new features you'll need DirectX, although it isn't necessary for just keyboard remapping. - There is a DirectInput keyboard checkbox that can get some keyboard buttons working better. However, don't use it unless you have to, as it *might* have extra lag. - There is a 'hidden' axis sensitivity setting at the end of the .ini file. Change this if you want more or less sensitivity for inputs that act as axes. Range is 1 (maximum sensitivity) to 999 (minimum sensitivity). Default is 333. - Sorry, I can't make a Mac/Linux version. It would be a whole new job for anyone who did. - I found playing on the shoulder buttons of a PS2/3 controller pretty do-able and fun... Playing left-hand only on a guitar is fairly tricky... Good Luck |
