Nice! No lagging, good response time, easy off/on, no typing interruptions, and a try again button. =D

Begone, annoying green square called AHK!

come on this was on the 6th page.
can there at least be a link on the AHK sticky for this thread (like on the original post of AHK)?

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

This thread definitely needs to be a sticky, it has less lag than AHK, it's so easy to set up a caveman could do it, and it has a boo out feature, which would be extremely hard to program in AHK I imagine. Thanks for making this.

P.S. I think it'd be cool if you tried combining all your features into one program. Then you might have more people download your stuff. It'd also be cool to see some new features from you, like making the screen flash when you hit a nonperfect (would help for screencutters) or adding customizable keys for scrolling through the genre/page selection.

That's what autofail is for but the scrolling feature would be cool.

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

Thing about autofail is that you don't get to finish the song. It's actually hard to see how far off you were using autofail because it fails you so quickly. Also, it could really come in handy in mp, and it would be a quicker way of letting you know how far off you could be and still get perfects. Plus it probably wouldn't be too hard to program, just make the whole screen flash the color of the judgement, faded a bit as to not be too distracting.

GEICO CAVEMAN IS NOT AMUSED.

Anyway, I agree that this should be stickied. The general consensus is that this program is better than AHK for FFR purposes, so why still have the AHK sticky and not this?

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

Can you make it count our perfects, etc?

Meaning have it be, you know, change styles from wide and short to tall and thin so that it fits in the left of the screen or something and counts as ffr goes?

Uhh... I don't think that would work... Only because it can't accurately monitor the arrows.

BTW: What programming language did you write this in? I think that it would be fairly simple for me to write this in Visual Basic (As I'm learning it right now...)

EDIT: Just remembered-- the only thing that I wouldn't be able to figure out is that try again button.... That effect is too complex... Lol.

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

Would you mind adding an option to disable arrow keys while the hotkeys are enabled? When I used AHK, I set the arrows to random numbers, because sometimes my hand would lean a bit too much to the right and get a boo on the arrows. So, atm I'm running AHK and FFR-KM, so I can still disable the arrows. This would be a huge help to me. I'm already so damn happy I don't have to disable the hotkeys to talk on AIM. Omg, what a ****ing relief. Thank you so much for this, either way.

Cool, this helps my PA, getting higher combos and this actually helps me on jacks. Good job and thanks.

Very useful.

You should sticky this.
