Nothing else, no good, no average, no boo, just a miss. This is like some difficulty 4 song, so there was no problem in reading it... Then I keep replaying it, and it happens again once in awhile... Maybe I'm not pressing down on the keys far enough or somthing, but I am just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

I actually have the reverse problem: my arrow keys sometimes don't register a beat when I'm pretty sure that I hit it, but with the remapped keys this hasn't happened. Of course, that isn't to say that it's not the fault of the program, but it's most likely just your keyboard. You can test out whether it's a buggy key or not by mapping different keys, and seeing if this continues to occur.

I don't think my try again button works. Probably due to browser and screen sizes?

Is there a way we can have another + to manuver over where it should click the mouse?

Didn't work. Tried it with NUMLock on and off.

I press it once and it clicks file.

I press it a second time and it closes the window.

Hey, can you add support for USB gamepads?
JoytoKey is being gay and is not working.

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

spinal_compression: 'Try Again' can be flakey - it's not the positioning of the mouse, rather getting the FFR window to acknowledge the button press - seems to lose it sometimes. Works most of the time, so I haven't spent too long figuring it out properly yet.

sjoecool1991: I have looked at joystick (and hence usb pad) support. It will be the next feature I add.

Synthlight recently mentioned that he would "revisit" in-game remapping. This has made me pause with new development to see if anything materialises. Luckily, I don't have much patience, I'll just carry on if nothing appears soon. :)

Finally, does anyone know for sure if remapping will be in 3rd Style? This determines whether I'll take the time to support low level keyboard remapping (Resonance, R2 etc)...

Yes-- Keymapping is scheduled to be finished by the time 3rd style comes out... probably even before that.

Do you think you can re-release like, the 3rd version of this again? With all of the stuff added, mine is acting extremely glitchy

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

rshadow8888: The latest version is 1.09. All the previous versions are available, take your pick:

http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.0 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.01 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.02 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.05 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.06 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.07 Setup.exe
http://www.latent.demon.co.uk/downloads/FFR-Keymap 1.08 Setup.exe

I don't have the simple zip files of the previous versions, but you could easily work out what you need for a usb memory stick from the latest version

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

i figured out what's wrong with the try again button.

when you open the remapper on the ffr game, it works fine. but when you switch to like any other page and go back it doesn't work. so, you have to go to the remapper and turn if off and on again on the game page. that's how it works for me.

Re: Simple Alternative for Key Remapping

This is possibly true. Certainly closing, then reopening the browser will require a toggle of the On/Off button.

Bumping for the greater good. Seriously, this program is more godly than Autohotkey, AND it's easier to setup.
