Part 1) GETTING STARTED

>>>Fill in your username, then pick a Zombie color. It doesn’t really matter which color you pick, but each Zombie can ONLY eat the brains of the above poster if the Heartbeat allows their color to… here’s when each
zombie can eat some brains.

RED ZOMBIE: Can eat above poster’s brains if heartbeat is 0-25
BLUE ZOMBIE: Can eat above poster’s brains if heartbeat is 25-50
GREEN ZOMBIE: Can eat above poster’s brains if heartbeat is 50-75
ORANGE ZOMBIE: Can eat above poster’s brains if heartbeat is 75-100

Part 2) HEARTBEAT

>>>The Heartbeat is the number which the game revolves around. Actions change this number, and in order to perform certain actions, like eating someone’s brain, the Heartbeat will have to be at the right level to perform the action. The MAXIMUM heartbeat is 100, and the MINIMUM is 0. If an action would cause the Heartbeat number to stray beyond either, simply put the Heartbeat as low or high as the limits allow.

(*If someone becomes Human, or a Black Zombie, the Heartbeat may go over 100… continue play as normal.)
(*To clarify, the Heartbeat is shared by EVERYONE. Your original Heartbeat begins as whatever that last posters was, and the actions you perform may change it.)

Part 3) STAMINA AND ACTIONS

>>>Stamina is very basic… every time you post, your stamina increases by one. This stamina is available for use during the turn you gain it… so for your first post, you have one stamina for use.

>>>Actions are also very basic. When you perform an action, you take away the specified number of stamina from your count, and update the game card depending on what the action did. Most actions will change the Heartbeat number in some way, while others may require a certain Heartbeat number to perform. Here is a list of actions and how much stamina they cost:

Rest(Free) – Heartbeat cut in half.

Frantic (Free) – Heartbeat doubled.

Stabilize (1 Stamina) – Heartbeat set to 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100. You choose.

Eat Brain (2 Stamina) – Eat a human or zombie’s brain if your zombie color allows it. Then either add 25 to the Heartbeat counter, or subtract 25… you choose. (Be sure to update your “Brains Eaten” section when you eat someone’s brain!)

Change Color (3 Stamina) – Change your zombie color to Red, Blue, Green, or Orange. Then, add 25 to the Heartbeat counter, or subtract 25… you choose. (The change is permanent, unless you decide to change again later.)

ADVANCED ACTIONS:

Use Item (1 Stamina) – Uses an item and takes up your turn. Does not change the Heartbeat number. More on items in the advanced section.

Splatter (4 Stamina//Humans Only) – Allows you to splatter a Zombie or Human if you posses the correct weapon to match the Heartbeat. Heartbeat increases by 30, or decreases by 30, your choice. This action may OVERRIDE the maximum limit of 100 for the Heartbeat, but may NOT override the minimum limit of 0.

(*Only one action may be performed per turn.)
(*You do not need to use the action “Use Item” to use a weapon.)
(*When you perform an action, log your stamina loss on your card... also, be sure to update how the Heartbeat changed if your action changed it.)

Part 4) ZN POINTS

>>>ZN Points are used for advanced features in the game… they are not required if you simply want to eat other peoples brains!

-Every time you eat someone’s brain, you gain 3 points.
-Every time you splatter a Zombie, you get 6 points. (Advanced players only)
-Every time you eat a Human brain, you get 12 points.
-Every time you splatter or eat a Black Zombies brain, you get 12 points.
-Every time you splatter a human, you get 24 points. (Advanced players only)

>>>These points can then be used to purchase things from the ZN shop, found in the advanced section of this guide… keep track of them with your stat card!

Part 5) ZN SHOP

>>>The ZN Shop, as you know, contains items and other cool stuff that you can use your ZN points on. It also contains a vaccine that will cure you of being a zombie, and turn you back into a human… one of the more interesting features in the game (more on this later). Here’s a list of the items currently in stock!

(Item) Adrenaline (15 ZN Points): Increase your total stamina by 3. Adrenaline takes effect the same turn you use it. This item is removed from your inventory when you use it.

(Item) Heart of Darkness (25 ZN Points): Become a Black Zombie, adept at eating the brains of unwary Humans. Sets Heartbeat to 110. Heart of Darkness takes effect the same turn you use it. This item is removed from your inventory when you use it.

(Item) The Cure (30 ZN Points): Change to human form, allowing you to blow/rip apart zombies using various weapons which can be found in the shop. Sets Heartbeat to 110. The Cure takes effect the same turn you use it. This item is removed from your inventory when you use it.

(Weapon) Knife (Humans Only//9 ZN Points): Allows you to splatter zombies when Heartbeat is 0-25. If your brain gets eaten, or if you are splattered while holding this item, you lose the item. This weapon can also be used to splatter other humans.

(Weapon) Pistol (Humans Only//9 ZN Points): Allows you to splatter zombies when Heartbeat is 25-50. If your brain gets eaten, or if you are splattered while holding this item, you lose the item. This weapon can also be used to splatter other humans.

(Weapon) Shotgun (Humans Only//9 ZN Points): Allows you to splatter zombies when Heartbeat is 50-75. If your brain gets eaten, or if you are splattered while holding this item, you lose the item. This weapon can also be used to splatter other humans.

(Weapon) Chainsaw (Humans Only//12 ZN Points): Allows you to splatter zombies when Heartbeat is 75-100+. If your brain gets eaten, or if you are splattered while holding this item, you lose the item. This weapon can also be used to splatter other humans. Heavy emphasis on the 100+.

(*Like actions, you may only use one item per turn.)

(*When you purchase an item or weapon, be sure to log it in your ZN points section.)

>>>When you purchase an item, subtract the ZN points from your total, and add it to the "Inventory" slot of your card... you will now be introduced to it. You can then use that item using the "Use Item" action during your turn.

HUMANS:
>>>When your brain gets eaten by a zombie, or you get splattered when in human form, YOU REVERT TO THE ZOMBIE COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE (besides black). Obviously, you’ll want to rack up as many points as you can in human form, since it costs a fair bit to buy all the equipment you need to make the transformation. To do this, you’ll need to make use of the fact that you can make the Heartbeat go OVER 100, so that normal zombies can’t eat your brain. However, you’ll also have to be careful while the Heartbeat is over 100, since Black Zombies and other humans can still put an end to your human streak.

(*While in human form, you’ll need weapons in your inventory in order to splatter Zombies. As stated earlier, weapons are NOT items, and do NOT require the use of the “Use Item” action.)

BLACK ZOMBIES:
>>>If you notice someone is doing exceedingly well as a Human, you may decide to put an end to their streak by becoming a Black Zombie (using the Heart of Darkness item). When you are a Black Zombie, you may eat brains the same way you would normally, only the Heartbeat counter must be OVER 100. Obviously, since normal Zombies won’t have their Heartbeat this high normally, you should only consider becoming a Black Zombie when there are Humans about. Also, just like Humans, if you get your brain eaten or are splattered while you are a Black Zombie, YOU REVERT TO THE ZOMBIE COLOR OF YOUR CHOICE (besides black).

1) Do I have to use the "Use Item" ability when I'm a human to splatter stuff with a weapon in my inventory?

No.

2) Will you be updating this game?

3) Do you have to list off everyone's brain you eat?

No.

4) Is there any penalty for getting splattered/having my brain eaten?

No.

5) Do I have to use the text effects in my card?

No.

6) When changing the Heartbeat, what is the original Heartbeat?

The original Heartbeat is the Heartbeat of the poster above you.

7) Can the Heartbeat go over 100 or bellow 0?

Never bellow 0, only above 100 if you are a human or black zombie... if the Heartbeat of the person above you is above 100, and you are a normal zombie, you may not cause the number to go any higher than it is, only lower.

8) Should I feed the animals?

No.

9) Should I feed the zombies?

Probably not...
