Afterlife?
what happens when you die?
|
i dont know ive never been
|
Why not consult the Scriptures? It's easier than me giving an answer, because my answer is what is contained therein.
|
Personally, I feel that when one dies, they are dead, and they stay dead. To me, it seems to make the most sense.
And Laharl, this may seem like an odd question, but the word Scriptures sparked my curiousity, what Religion are you? |
Nothing. Plain and simple.
|
You rot in a hole in the ground. If you think about it, there's no logical reason to go to any 'heaven' or 'hell' after you die- although I do believe in many layers of consiousness. I'm not saying ghosts or spirits or anything, per se, but I think that the human brain is capable of a lot more than we give it credit for. But really, when you die, your brain stops working and that's...it. Nothing more, if you step back and think, it's really the most logical answer. It's also the reason why I'm athiest- if there's no heaven or hell, there's no god.
|
Well, I am agnostic. I dont believe in a Heaven, or Hell, or Devil, or "God" in the sense that most people believe God to be.
But I feel that the human body is returned to the Earth, thus the Earth consumes the left over nutrients, and thus your rotting flesh is used to bring life to another living thing, such as a Tree, worm, etc. A never circle of death, and rebirth. In a sense, you will live on forever, just as those who died before you live on. Some kind of BS like that. |
When you're dead you're dead, thats it, you cease to be.
|
well this should be thought about critically.. but you'd be thinking forever to find a correct answer
when you die, in my opinion, you don't 'cease to be' or 'go to heaven/hell', rather you just experience a state of true consiousness, meaning: the second you die, you experience a brief second of ultimate knowledge, you become a spirit with an IQ of infinity. however since you're dead it really doesn't do anything. basically, everyone knows everything while they're alive, their body just prohibits the use of all that intelligence. but then again, I'm an idiot besides some unimportant beliefs, I really don't believe in anything unless it can be proven by science. death, and what happens after it, could be proven by science, but not until we could trick death to research it, or learn how to bring someone back to life sorry if reading this was a waste of your time |
I think the repository abnormalities of the inner mind cease to be and can therefore be un-reacting to the 6th sense od "death", eliminating the need for heaven and/or hell, which in lamens terms states that your consiousness ascends to a true state of self-awareness.
Basically you live inside a dream forever, choosing the path you wish to go and never ending. |

hey doughboy's god: am I still going to hell²? it sounds like a cool place. I don't care about being killed, just as long as I'm put solely in a place worse than hell, aka: hell². hell³ would be better though, since its hell to the third power, instead of the second
