Well As some of you may know......After many kings when the Francs occupied Gaul Pepin the Short took office. He was not of blood, but struck a deal with the pope saying that he would always protect him if he could be blessed as king. They presented eachother gifts, Pepin gave the pope a strip of land in italy and the pope gave Pepin a document basically saying that the pope owns the king signed by Constantine. it was a forgery, but that isn't the point.
Pepin was obviously short, but his son Charlemagne was a beast. The average Franc was like 5"4 and he was around 6"4.

Does anyone here know of any other famous forgeries of history besides the donation of Constantine?
Just wondering..
