Favorite IM service?

Personally, I use AIM. I'm in no way sure that it is the best, but it is the most popular. To me, a crappy IM service with lots of people is a lot better than an amazing IM service with little to no people.

Google talk is pretty nice because you can use it easily while checking your mail.

Popular where?
Just in the USA. I like MSN the best. It has some cool features and most people use it outside the USA. I have people on my list from the UK, Turkey, Spain, Columbia, and Mexico. I would say MSN is by far the most popular world wide, but everyone from my school uses AIM, but I hate it. :/

I hate hate hate MSN. I've used AIM for ever, MSN for three or four years, and yahoo for about two. Just because some of my friends only use MSN or yahoo and I like AIM better. But AIM is the most popular in the US, so there's no reason not to use it.

AIM is good, but the new AIM Triton sucks a lot.

I'm on aim express right now, because I am at my dad's house, and it completely sucks. Any time someone IM's you, it pops up, making you type whatever you typing into that AIM box. It gets SUPER annoying when trying to type big long posts.

I use trillian to bypass all the different clients and bundle them all into the same program. Trillian Astra has amazing features, but the skins as of now are too ugly.

Triton does suck. The old classic version is much better, I still use it.

I use AIM only because everybody else has AIM; that's how I talk to people. I had Yahoo! for a while, but whenever I signed on, I realized that I had nobody in my list to talk to.

I pretty much have to use MSN to talk to any RL freinds, but for FFR stuff most people have AIM. But I would choose AIM over MSN.

I use Gaim, which is nice and light, for AIM mostly. The release I have is buggy as heck with MSN, so I have MSN messenger for the few times I use MSN. But I'm mostly an AIM person.

Says the asian.

Personally, I think Yahoo is amazing, but I use AIM because it is what my friends have.

I use Gaim, most for AIM, and rarely for YIM. It doesn't seem to work with MSN unfortunately, but I guess it doesn't matter because most of my friends are on AIM.
