Severe Lag During Gameplay

I'm going from being able to easily beat cata++ to HUNDREDS of boos and misses and an inability to follow the arrows because of lag. I THINK I lowered the resolution but surely there's more I can do? If anyone has any solutions please post below. Thanks.

Oh, and yes. I am on a very crappy PC. 256MB RAM and an extremely old processor. Using Win98 aswell and my video card is probably 32-64MB.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete.. check your processes and see what is eating up your CPU time.

If you are running FFR on a Pentium 1 or 2 chip, consider donating it to an orphanage and buying a new computer.

Cheers,

Wrong section!

But to see video memory,
Click start - run and type in "dxdiag" without the quotes.
Then go to video, and I would run the diagnostics if I were you.

Yes I know it's the wrong section. I just read some of the other posts. And I'm using a Pentium Celeron on an Intel Chipset 82810 motherboard, I can't afford a new PC; Just so you know.

And Windows 98 does not show Processes and all that pretty stuff when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del, just applications and things in your sysbar currently active.

 Why must life be so cruel? I can't even reach my full potential on StepMania because during half the 1000+ steps songs the stupid computer goes BEEP BEEP BEEP when I press too many keys at once and then kicks in a hard lag spike and I practically lose right there.

I know it's not Pentium 1 or 2, jesus christ. It's pre-Pentium 4 I believe. I have another PC that DOES have a very old Pentium 3 processor in it however, I fried it 5 minutes after buying it because I thought it would be a good idea to fully overclock it. XD

For the love of God, EDIT YOUR PREVIOUS POST INSTEAD OF QUINTUPLE POSTING.

Thanks.
