Window Licker's secret

http://youtube.com/watch?v=yFSBj-br2Eo

So I was watching this infamous video again, only this time I took the time to read the comment. What immediately grabbed my attention was where it says:

Quote:

Subversion is one of his trademarks as well: you know that weird high-pitched noise at the end of the video? If you plug that through a spectrograph, you'll see an image of a spiral.
I had to see for myself.

This is on levels of genius I can't even describe.

Holy crap... I saw that, but I didn't actually think it would work.

Hmmm.

Definitely not as cool as the last track of Venetian Snares' album "Songs About My Cats."

Go look at this through a spectrograph:

Haha.

Sleepless, try the end of ∆Mi-1=-a∑Di(n)(∑Fij(n-1)+Fexti(n-1)).

And there's definitely more than one picture in that entire song.

This stuff is old as junk. The problem is it's pretty blatantly obvious when they use it in a track. Richard Devine actually incorporates bmp -> wav fairly often into his songs and they actually blend in with the music.

ya, in an Aphex Twin song he puts his face into it as well if you use the spectrograph. But thats a well known one. It looks cool though
