Age preference if there were afterlives?

Not to bring into question whether or not you believe in any kind of afterlife, but if age pertains to the form you will take, what age would you choose to be and why. I am also curios to know how the age you have chosen relates the the age that you are now if you dont mind divulging that information. One simple idea I had is that people would all just be the age that they were when they died, and that scares me. It is probably becuase I am young, but I do not think that older people would want to be 60 plus years in the afterlife either, maybe 20-40. Where I currently am now if my life, I would choose 20. I do know that I do not have as much perspective as some of the other people in this forum so I would like to get some feedback on this topic.

If I believed in an afterlife, (especially one where physical form mattered) I sure wouldn't want to be shuffling along with arthritis and a limp while crapping my pants.

Probably 24 barring any unforseen circumstances.

To me (if there is such a thing as afterlife) I think everyone would agree that they would want to be young. Who would want to be practically blind, have no bladder control, and have paranoia? Not to mention that you get slowed reflexes with age and you have a much more sore body. 22-25 is probably where I would want to be. Just because it seems like you're in the peak shape of you life around then. I'm 21 so I don't really know if this is true but we'll see.

Woah, what's with all those dumbass posts?

Anyway - back to the topics - I would choose to be around 18-25 years old.. Somewhere there, but I can't really decide since I'm barely 15 years old and I'm talking about 3 to 10 years into the future.. And yes, I believe in an afterlife. =\

Meh, I don't think our afterlife would have very much to do with our age or human forms. I mean, of course no body knows, but meh.

I pick 25.

Well from what i am told, when you are resurrected your body will be in its 'perfect' state. Not that it will be perfect according to what anyone says now, but it will probably be in its best condition, so you are all probably right, about 20 ish, except it will be possible for you to be older (than say) your mom in the afterlife.

i would want to be in my 20's but with the same knowledge and wisdom that i had when i died(say i die when im 80, i wouldn't want to lose 60 years worth of knowledge and experience.)

The only implication I get from this topic is that (if there is an afterlife) it would have to be a relativistic one. Otherwise there would be no recognition between one and another.

ie sup grandma yur 20 dats kewl me too

If I believed in the afterlife the perfect age for me would be 21.

Re: Age preference if there were afterlives?

Most likely it would be the time in my life when I was having the most fun. Can't say when though.... I mean, lets face it, in these times, I've got a lot to choose from. Going to go ahead and take a shot in the dark and say 21.

Then again, there's always the concept of "Morphing" between ages, like in dreams and such (Mine, to say the least).

Edit: Sorry for the semi-necropost.

You people do realize there is no age limit for drinking in the afterlife right?

That being said I would want to be 19; still a teenager, but with all the physical and mental prowess of an older alpha male. 8)

If there was an afterlife & I had a choice, it would be in the condition in which I had died in. (:

Re: Age preference if there were afterlives?

Well, here is a theory in which I studied in History. When you die in Buddhism or Hinduism and you have eaten meat all your life, you will be reborn as the animal you ate and your last thoughts before you die are of those animals. Then, during your afterlife, you will feel the torture and suffering of the animals. Correct me if I'm wrong. Another theory is represented in a movie called Fluke about a Bay retriever doggie. You shoudl watch it.
