North Korea Missile Test

I just saw a story on channel 4 news that grabbed my attention and interested me.

According to American intelligence, North Korea has just moved missile fuel to a missile launch test site and have plans to launch the missile. It was even speculated that the missile (cant remember the name) could reach as far as North America although its current launch destination is unknown as far as I know.

Condoleeza Rice said "If North Korea launches this missile we will treat this matter very seriously and see it as a provocative move by the North Koreans"
However with a little research conducted by myself I found out monsoon season will hit North Korea in just under a month , so I'm assuming if North Korea is moving missile fuel to the missile launch site that it would have about a window of about a month to launch it.

Thoughts , opinions?

Are you sure that this story isn't a few months old? North Korea threatened to test ICBM-type missiles a while back, and actually did, despite our extreme admonishments. All the missiles fell into the ocean, though, so the matter was kind of dropped after that.

Since it appears to be the same issue all over again, I doubt that there will be as much international uproar about it, despite its meaning that North Korea will continue to test these long-range missiles regardless of what anyone else thinks or says. It seems the only thing stopping them from getting these missiles operational is their own incompetence in building them properly which is only a temporary problem.

I don't feel threatened by the missiles at this moment, but that doesn't mean they won't pose a threat in the future.

I'm pretty sure that they launched the missiles into the ocean on purpose, just to see if they would launch. I could be wrong though.

I thought the US also did missile testing, just of different calibre of missiles or something.
I've also heard that missile testing may cause earthquakes to be worse and more frequent.

Maybe. That could also just be a cover to appear more intimidating. I'm not going to say one explanation is right, though, as nobody here really knows.
