Doing drugs or some kind of psychotic disorder. Those are the only things which can cause them as far as I know.

Well, if you wanna trip, just take a bit of acid, amazing experience.

I'm really not too familiar with it.

This should help some: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychosis

Either way, this thread is really not appropriate for this forum. Hell, it's not even appropriate for any of these forums. You should be talking about this stuff with your doctor, not a bunch of random people on the Internet.

Aren't you like twelve-years-old or something?

A lack of sleep can also cause you to hallucinate.

Oh! I just remembered, I know what would be perfect for you. Salvia Divinorum. It's legal, non-harming to your body, and gives you HUGE hallucination for about 5-6 minutes.

You need to shut up and not offer people possibly dangerous hallucinogens.

Prove to me Salvia is dangerous. (yeah acid was a bad idea i admit lol)

EDIT: posted wrong link

If I'm right, ap's studying in psychopharmacology (sp?). Just a wild guess, but he probably knows a lot more on the subject.

Regarding the OP: Your doctors must have some idea why, otherwise they probably aren't qualified to be doctors. I highly doubt (although possible) that your supposed ailment is so rare that a trained professional can't identify it.

Uhh Gee I don't know, maybe because Salvinorin-A is active at the κ-opioid receptor which is responsible for many of the regulatory functions of the body. Considering that this makes it massively psychedelic, it has infinite potential to cause you to have very bad trips. This, coupled with the general intensity of salvia, is all the reason to not blindly recommend it to people who have never done psychedelics.

To the original poster: Saying you 'hallucinate' is not enough to tell us what is going on. Hallucinations can stem from a billion different sources. Hell, I even go into some hallucinogenic states after some of my more meaningful sets of meditation.

Well how am i supposed to know he's never done them? I gave him the website so he can read about it and see if it's what he wants. I didn't point a gun to his head.

You give off that dumb vibe of some dumb druggy kid who wants to show off how many drugs he's done. He's asking about possible reasons why he hallucinates; he didn't ask you what drugs make you trip. No one cares that you've done acid or salvia. I've done psychedelics you've never even heard of but I don't go waving it around into places where it doesn't belong.

Furthermore, offering psychedelics to someone who already seems to have some preexisting state of psychosis (i.e. hallucinatory problems), is a bad fucking idea, and it's pretty easy to see why.

Back to the original question....many types of neurologic problems (toxins, brain injuries, etc...) could cause perception problems.

Satan is summoning you through the dimensional rifts. It's about time to do his bidding.

You need new doctors if they can't figure it out. Unless you aren't being honest with them.

If you've got a mental problem, the best help you're going to get will most likely be from yourself.

If it weren't for me having the benefits of asperger's syndrome to help deal with it, I probably wouldn't even be on the damn internet.

And everyone thinks that autism is a disease.

I'm damn glad I have it.

Anyways, dig deep into your mind sometime. If the doctors can't figure out what it is, the best thing for you to do is try to figure it out yourself.
