Been there done that, still could have been better actions taken.

Simple lines

9-11 -> Afghanistan -> Osama bin Ladan -> Al'Queda -> Money -> Iraq -> Sadaam

All in there, hun.

ps I'll fight the republican view all night, I live in Idaho. Idaho is the next most red state in the union to Utah

Re: George W. Bush

you can't make everyone happy, and I'd rather not look up the site of political leaders that posted possible solutions so I'll just end this here. Gorge bush wins.

Ohh. sorry noob for invading your noob post.

There are a thousand different ways we could have killed Saddam swiftly and silently. Now, whether or not these would piss off the UN is a completly different matter, but I hardly see how that matters considering we already pissed them off. Anyone can tell you the main driving force behind this entire conflict is oil. Plain and simple. Not WMDs, not Saddam, not Al'Qaeda. Oil.

I disagree with that.

We originally went into Iraq with the intention of cleaning out any potential WMDs with the added side bonus of "liberating" the Iraqis. I wouldn't say 9/11 is DIRECTLY factored in to this war, since we, you know, invaded them a decade or two ago as well.

I don't think the war is wrong as a whole, and I DO think that for (whatever) reason it was carried out in the first place, it was handled fine. Killing soldiers? Yeah, that'll happen behind the scenes regardless of whether or not the Iraq war is going on, sweethearts.

Do tell me, during the entire course of the war, when the mission objective was to kill Sadaam? The goal was to capture him and put him on trial to do thing the way we do in the US, and deliver some raw, american justice.

So obviously the fact there was a viable nuclear threat from a person who used poison on citizens of his own country is of no importance to you? Although it was indeed proven that there was no WMD's, this was after months of investigation. If a crazy, shady kid at school had a rumor floating around that he had an AK47 in his locker, do you think the school would ignore it?

The driving fore behing the war in Iraq is oil, right?

Wrong.

Statistically, Iraq only contributes 4% to the american oil pool, and it is Canada that is the lead at 17.6%, or about 2100 barrels a day.

Not much to be said here, since you're agreeing with what I mostly stand behind. I might have missed something because I'm freaking tired, but oh well.

Yes, but he could have been detained without invading the entire country. I dunno why I mentioned just flat out killing him, since that's not how we do business here in the US of A, but you know what I mean.

So obviously the fact there was a viable nuclear threat from a person who used poison on citizens of his own country is of no importance to you?

A viable nuclear threat? I'd say North Korea is the VIABLE nuclear threat here, but what are we doing with them? Iran seems like it's going to pop up here soon, but it's too early to jump to any conclusions and definitely too early to take any kind of serious action.

As for the whole genocide thing, of course it's wrong. Genocide happens all over the globe every day, we can't do **** about it except take baby steps towards stopping it. I dunno why you'd even bring that up.

Although it was indeed proven that there was no WMD's, this was after months of investigation. If a crazy, shady kid at school had a rumor floating around that he had an AK47 in his locker, do you think the school would ignore it?

It's quite different when you have governmentally qualified inspectors going around making DAMN sure that there are no atomic threats within the country. Was there a cause for taking action? Sure, but why the **** are we still there? To establish a democracy? Yeah, right. Even if we did manage to concieve a working democracy, it'll be corrupt from the ass up after we leave.

Wrong.

That statistic will be quite different if we maintain full control over their oil fields for the time being.

They have to sell willingly, and I doubt they'd be too enthused about fueling our war effort after we just finished ****ing them up in Desert Storm, and now this.

I'll just dick with you for tonight since I'm not as up to date with everything politically as I was back in march.

George Bush i'm sorry to say this but **** you

Go join a picket group of middle aged women chanting '**** Bush' outside the White House. That remark has such little value that just by saying it, you have started off with zero credibility.

get the **** out of Iraq!

And then what? Do you sincerely think that Iraq is a stable country right now? If America were to pull out, as I'm sure your well thought out idea was sure to take into account, we'd be letting two dogs fight eachother to the death. The only reason Iraq hasn't been completly obliterated since America showed up was because we are there. Al'Queda would have completly obliterated any chance of a demorcratic government and Iraq would instantly be back to where it was prior June 2003. In all respects, America has been doing the best it can to be able to leave Iraq and get it on its feet again, but unfortunatly it isn't as easy as 'lol just pull out u retard.'

Completely agree with this. I was watching a documentary like a week ago on this subject. I hate how ignorant people just say things like "get out of there stupid Bush!". If we were to just leave now, all of the progress that we have made over there would've been for naught.
