My little brother struggles with beginner songs. Pity, I'd enjoy having a child DDR genius.

Re: Wow Everyone Got Owned
Gilbert hangs out at ddrfreak and is like 13 and can fc psmo and other crazy stuff like that.

Re: Wow Everyone Got Owned
This kid is 5 and can AA 7 footers. Imagine him in a year or two. He is on TV all the time in Japan and is basically a celebrity at the age of five. You can't tell me that is crazy.

All I can say is...**** my future kid will be like that. |
Re: Wow Everyone Got Owned
That was not even a difficult song.
I'd expect someone who has been playing DDR for quite a while to be able to do as well as him regardless of age/size. |
Re: Wow Everyone Got Owned
Think of the attention span of a 5 year old. Do you really think that he strives to be better and strives to pass hard songs that seem impossible for his age? No of course not, he just has fun and he is just naturally good at it. The amazing thing I think is just his size and strength. I mean, I know a lot of people who are dying after Afronova Standard but this kid keeps on going and manages to get excellent PA(probably better then mine haha) and just smiles like it was nothing. Yes, age certainly plays a factor in DDR.

Imagine little kids. They're always running around and doing stupid crap that would leave the average person out of breath. So really, the only things working against him are attention span and the fact that he's quite shorter than the average DDR player. Attention span: Duh. He just sees it as a fun video game. I'm sure all of you played video games when you were 5 years old and the game could easily hold your attention. Now, combine that with the ability to burn off excess little kid energy and you have a winning combination for a game for little kids. As for size: Not a really big deal. He just has to use a wider stance than the average player. For instance, imagine playing DDR on a pad where the buttons are about 6 inches further apart than normal. It'd be harder at first, but once you're used to it, you'd be able to play it just like normal. I mean, yeah, it is cool that this little kid is pretty good or whatever, but it's not a very big deal. It's not like that one legged player (crazy... how can you play with one leg?) or really fat player (not only would the fat be bouncing around being tough, but you'd also have the lessened lung capacity as well as the self consciousness of how silly you look with your fat bouncing everywhere). |
Re: Wow Everyone Got Owned
The one legged video is fake, but that's besides the point.
You could be right, little 5 yearolds obviously have alot more energy in them, but clearly they lack a whole lot of BALANCE when compared to teenagers. Go ahead, try to argue that. And although not a BIG deal, size DOES matter, and you fail to see that. It's harder even for me to play DDR because my legs are shorter than the average person, I can actually FEEL how I have to move my legs that much farther. Now you're comparing with a 5 yearold who's like half my height. You're telling me that doesn't come into play? |
