The power of HHO?
I'm not 100% sure how this works, but this could mean ALOT of bright things for the future.
http://www.wimp.com/fuelwater/ The flame turns hotter then the surface of the sun, and is a very powerful fuel source. it combines the power of WATER with electricity to turn H2O into HHO. On an 100 mile trip he used 4 oz. of water. incredible. heres the main website for the invention: http://hytechapps.com/ |
Re: The power of HHO?
Is this someone really new? how come this hsant caught on yet. If its less expensive im guesing we can see these engines in the near future? that guy is going to be one rich little dude.

Re: The power of HHO?
Yea I just saw this. Assuming it's really as practical as it appears, this is pretty nuts.
Did some reading on the site and such. It's not 'ready' to be put into cars and such yet, but they're working on it to make it economical and cost efficient. This could be huge. The implications of not having to use gasoline are quite large. |
Re: The power of HHO?
some foreign countries economies will drop threw the floor though.
|
Re: The power of HHO?
Amazing... Izzy actually made an intelligent comment.
This would potentially destroy certain Middle Eastern economies, and then entire oil industry worldwide... ASSUMING this water/electricity process is cheaper and an easy process. The video is sexy, but we don't know the cost it takes to run it nor the time/difficulty to do it... basically what Reach said. |
Re: The power of HHO?
Old, synth showed me this HOURS ago.
In all seriousness, it's insane that some random guy came up with this tech. Insane... |
Re: The power of HHO?
It's about time someone figured out a seemingly workable way of burning water.
The thing I don't get is why would it be warm to the touch, yet would make metal become red hot? Why would it affect the human body much less than it would metal? |
Re: The power of HHO?
Chemical reactions? i have no idea. maybe it reacts more violently to metals and less to skin.

this is cool. Wish they'd reveal how it worked. edit: oh. nvm: http://hytechapps.com/presentation/l...%20Journal.pdf also, my guess as to why it doesn't hurt your skin is that your skin isn't metallic (aka no excitable transition element electrons)? maybe they're just talking about the tip of the nozzle, not the gas itself, and the news people messed up. |
Re: The power of HHO?
Oh i understand what he means. The flame is concetrated so it doesnt burn him. IF he actually touched it, it would burn him.
|
Re: The power of HHO?
It's really not that hard. All they're doing is using the most common molecule on the planet to store electrical energy, and then burning it to release that energy in a combustion reaction.
You get water back. 100% evironmentally friendly. |

I mean, you can get water for free. And you can charge a battery for free. Do you actually think they're going to let you drive for free? XD I have a feeling there will be a catch somewhere. rofl. Something along the lines of only a certain water being able to run the engine so you have to pay for it. Or if not that, they will find a way to suck the money you used to pay for gasoline out of you. |
Re: The power of HHO?
I thought it would be more dealing with the fact that the human body is composed of mostly water. The metal heats up due to the fact that the molecules are so tightly packed, as they are in all of the solids that he burns.
The human body, however, has very loosely packed molecules which I think keeps it from burning as much, or at all. |
Re: The power of HHO?
no.. notice how they never touch the flame. It would burn you. it just doesnt heat up anything its not touching. the heat doesnt dissapate into the air.
|
Re: The power of HHO?
He does touch the flame, though, he shows it touching his fingers at one point in the video. Albeit he's not close to the origin, but it is still on his fingers.
Edit: Regardless of if he's touching the flame or not, this is an incredible technology and I'm looking forward to what comes of it. |

Re: The power of HHO?
As long as the world doesnt blow up now then im good. Maybe its all a scam so that we invest in stock. And then they are like. rofl jk.
|
Re: The power of HHO?
reach... water isn't free. Neither is charging a battery. Utilities? Also, it has to be distilled water for this to work.
|
Re: The power of HHO?
It's not a scam. This kind of technology has been in development for quite a while anyways.
And yes, a guy could figure this out in a garage. Just look at some companies, microsoft, google, all you need is someone who's willing to work harder than the rest of us lazy asses. This wouldn't completely get rid of our dependence on fossil fuels though. We still would burn oil for our electricity. That's where solar power comes in. You were born with solar power to begin with. It's called THE CARBON CYCLE. :O The flame isn't safe, probably just really hot right at the tip. You notice how he puts the tip right next to the metal. Any combustion isn't safe at high temperatures. Get used to it. Edit:Talisman is also right. Distilled water isn't free, but is very cheap, and electricity isn't free, but from the film, it doesn't seem to take that much electricity. But it really isn't a big deal. All he's done is find an efficient way transform electrical energy into fire, in an evironmentally safe way, using water, the most common molecule on earth! CUT IT WITH THE MEDIA HYPE FOR GOD'S SAKE. |

And it's not like charging a battery is expensive in comparison to gas XD As for the last comment, yea. Looks like distilled water sales would go up? Or can you get a distiller installed on your tap? XD And uh, afro, that's true, but, people can build their own computers. How many people build their own computers? It's not like people are going to be running around installing things and figuring out how this works. |
