A day without a Mexican

I live in Southern California, which is amost Mexico. Today is the day of the big "Boycott America" thing, where all the immigrants stay home and do nothing. I have to say, it's quite pleasent. There is no traffic, school classes are small, lines are much shorter. I wish this would happen every day.

Hahahaha. The point was supposed to be that America would grind to a halt without Mexican workers. Oops.

Well, atleast their intentions were good... or were they? I guess in this situation it really depends if you concider the US Govt the problem... or the illigal immigrants.

Well, I suppose their intentions are good, but they're boycotting work to protest the American government threatening their right to work in this country.

o.O Last time I checked, walking out on your job was not a good way to prove your dedication and conviction.

Most of them will probably be fired. I think a 'Shoot a Mexican' day would be in order.

**** the mexicans. The fact that they have the nerve to come in here illegally and expect America to change is appalling.

they were not trying to prove their dedication and conviction. they were just simply trying to say that the economy would be severly damaged without the immigrants. something which is true by the way. just because somebody did not see the effect that it had does not mean that it did not happen.

@mattyoh sertman
what the hell is wrong with you two. I totally agree that coming into the country is wrong if you do it illegally but you should not come into the discussion with derogatory remarks like that. If you disagree with something say it smartly not stupidly.

Hey MC, it's called the Edit Button. Try not to quadruple post. Oh, and yes, mostly mexicans are boycotting.

Also, don't request locks in threads.

Re: A day without a Mexican

Are there HUGE public protests of other races of immigrants because of this law?

No matter what, they still are illegal immigrants, and something needs to be done.

So your mexican eh? I'm not using race as a factor to determine my opinons. I'm using facts. I'm almost sure sertman is too, but in his rough, untactful way.
