Colonial United States
I've recently witnessed quite a few incidents that have triggered my own life changes and opinions. The United States is very much a reincarnation of Great Britain and many traditional oppressive colonial European countries. America can't exist without seperating us from our own identities. Pushing its own genocidal consensus on our homelands, the ignorance can be destroyed however. The problem with being a conformist and trying to change the system from within is the fact that after awhile it will end up changing you. This plutocracy forces the third world to purchase overpriced unnecessary goods while exporting huge portions of their natural resources. Most of these countries have the capacity to be of greatness. "Outside of America lives a lesser people, f*ck them and let them fend for themselves." That's the general attitude, what this culture, rather lack of culture, is feeding us.
Self interest, think about it. Who makes the real money? |
Re: Colonial United States
America is full of dumb, self absorbed, disinterested people? Well thats not really news.

Re: Colonial United States
I'm not too sure of your point for all of this Spec, except to take a shot at your employer?

Re: Colonial United States
I don't personally see what's so great about America and why everyone goes there. i'd much rather go live in Melbourne or a little Island around the tropics like on Lost. that'd be a nice place to live. except without all the freaky ****

Re: Colonial United States
We should just all go to aulstralia. Nothing happens there. No natural disasters and they hav'nt been in much war over history.

Re: Colonial United States
Except there is no country called Aulstralia... and its closest relative, Australia, was originally used as one giant penal colony (aka, a jail). That fact alone makes me have no desire to go and populate down under.

Re: Colonial United States
I'm an american.
Am I some evil person attacking your beliefs and government? No. I keep to myself, I do my job, I talk with friends. Am I worried about the recent views the world has about me? yeah. I do try to ignore it however, because I know how wrong people can be in everything they do/think <yes even me, im no hypocrite> Please stop villifying America, we have more than just ignorant red-necks, and power-hungry politicians(every country has these). Once President Bush is gone, what reason will you have to hate us? His agenda to "stop terrorism" will not stay for much longer. |
Re: Colonial United States
I agree with Tassel... I'm not quite sure if I see your point.
Australia has wallabies... need I say more? |
Re: Colonial United States
Lunatic-Pandora has a good point. Every country has it's flaws. But because America is such a global superpower, we get put under the magnifying glass too often. I'm not a big fan of George "Dubya" Bush either. In my opinion, he should learn to write, and be able to say his speeches the right way, before he makes America look like a country full of rednecks and illeterate buffoons. I'm not saying that we dont have LOTS of these, but we're not all bad. But really, I really don't give a flying Huck-Fin about what other countries think about where I live, so, meh.

EDIT : He's not doing a very good job running our country. He's wasting millions of dollars on a war over something that never existed in the first place. The way he acts isnt making us look very good either. |
