Fun in Starbucks, making fun of hypocrites

Just wanted to share something interesting that happened to me yesterday.

So, I met a whole bunch of people at a local coffee shop to study for a mid-mid-term (that induces seppuku, no joke). Said local coffee joint was about to go out of business because evil soul-sucking Starbucks moved in across the parking lot. So, we got coffee in the other coffee shop (because we're cool dissentors like that), and then figured out there was no room to study there.

However, the Starbucks across the street was huge, and had a large empty table. So, we decided to "stick-it-to-the-man" (like anyone cares what a bunch of nobodies do anyways) by buying coffee at the local place and then carrying it over to Starbucks to monopolize a table while one person actually bought Starbucks to legitimize our stay.

Then, horrors of all horrors: I saw some emo dude (I hate emo-people, because I've found that 99% of them are posers who listen to DBC and go to cutter-parties to comiserate about how horrible their lives are) reading "Catcher in the Rye".

Don't get me wrong, I like Catcher in the Rye.

The funny thing is, it's a book about hypocritsy, and here was some poser-emo dude in STARBUCKS reading book about hypocritcy.

Nevertheless, I reemed him a new hole.

The end.

Yep, reading literature that applies to you sure is laughable. You certainly made him less of a person.

I had a long, satirical post about stereotypical judgements and the essence of hypocrisy, but then I decided CT deserved better.

So... wait. You could tell he was emo because he was sitting alone reading a book?

What, exactly, was the topic of your "reaming"? I'm curious.

I can tell my sister is emo because:

Bang of hair in her eyes
Torn jeans fad
Eyeshadow
The Nightmare Before Christmas Merchandise
"She was sitting along reading a book"
Lot's of other stuff
