Mark your calendars, people.. It's the end of the world...or is it?
Discuss. |
RE: December 21, 2012
Oh, no! Y2K-12.
Seriously though, there is so much speculation and random scientific evidence people can point to it's hard to tell. |
RE: December 21, 2012
No, there is no scientific evidence. Some people may claim to have it, but it's not there.

More Nostrodaumus, ugh.

RE: December 21, 2012
Uh.... why is this date important as to being any more likely the end of the world as say... Togrsbly 43rd, 7528 of the 7th ERA.
Note: Date is completely pulled out my rear. Togrsbly is not a current month, but will likely be one in the 7th ERA, whenever that may be. The month will also have more than 43 days due to some freak accident to the moon. Perhaps Venus will run into it, or it will be sucked into a black hole. But, do not forget people... Togrsbly the 43rd. The world will end. Mark your 7th ERA calendars. |

Once Baylor completes all the 2012 projects, God can call all his children home. It makes sense. |
RE: December 21, 2012
wtf? That's all i gotta say. A school has something to do with the end of the world? Explain better please.
|
RE: December 21, 2012
its the end of the world because the aztecs said so
also, it's a friday, so at least you won't have to end the world on a monday or anything, i hate getting up on mondays |
RE: December 21, 2012
Im with xObserveRx, what the hell does a scool have to do with anything besides the fact that it says 2012?
|
RE: December 21, 2012
It doesn't. It just so happens that Baylor has a plan to expand and improve the school with many different projects and new buildings. Scheduled completion is 2012. Coincidence, people; she never suggested there was a link.

RE: December 21, 2012
Yeah.. it was supposed to be a joke...
Baylor = 3rd-most conservative school in the nation, according to the Princeton Review. I was implying that God is waiting until Baylor's 2012 Vision is completed to destroy the universe. Get it? |
RE: December 21, 2012
oh... haha. :/
lol |
RE: December 21, 2012
It was the 13th hour of the 13th day of the 13th month... we were discussing the misprint in the calendars.
Ooh, lousy Smarch weather! In any event, the Mayan calendar ends at 2012 because the guy / guys who wrote it were sick and tired of living and ended their culture on the day that they intended to get to December 22, 2012. How do I know? I obviously have a Time Machine that works extremely well and I am able to translate their crazy language and adapt myself into their ritualistic culture enough to talk to the idiots who wrote the stupid calendar. They pretty much threw darts at certain days and said "hole in day = bad stuffz" That's my interpretation of the Mayans at least. ~Squeek |
RE: December 21, 2012
I honestly think the Mayans, like all mankind just got lazy. I mean, creating a calender that reaches 3000 years into the future all done by hand has really got to get tiring. I mean, the guy doing it probably just thought "hey...you know what...3000 years into the future is a really long time. I think the calender is fine for now."

RE: December 21, 2012
OMG If the end of the world is anything like the Third Impact, we can all look to Synth as our Gendo Ikari. Moogy can be Shinji, Squeek can be Kaji, Jursey can be an EVA (bad pun), Observer can be Asuka, and I'll play Rei. ROFL

Honestly, Jewpin summed up my point. I was trying to go for that. The Mayans were lazy. Or maybe they weren't lazy and just never got around to going further due to their downfall of their culture. ~Squeek |
RE: Re: RE: December 21, 2012
Kaji was Seele' spy into NERV who uncovers the truth about The Human Instrumentality Project and gets killed for it after telling Misato the truth, but I digress.
|
RE: Re: RE: December 21, 2012
Yeah Squeek, Kaji was my favorite character.

Why's everyone getting so worked up about the end of the world?
Shouldn't you be ready for it? |
