Science fair Research paper Idea!!!
Ok, so I'm in Chemistry this year and yet again I need to do a research paper. I dont have to do the actual project but I need an idea for the paper and something that would be a cool project to actually do. (Im a sophmore in HS so no kiddie stuff)
Hope you guys can at least lead me to a good idea! Love, Marie |
RE: Science fair Research paper Idea!!!
Well, I think it's illegal to ask for homework help on here, so I don't know. Chem, as a sophmore? They don't let us take it untill were a junior, then again, NY has their crazy retarded State Tests.

How about dextro- and levorotatory compounds? Maybe toss in cis- and trans- isomerism since they're on kind of the same principles. It's not experiment-heavy, but the research would be interesting.
If you need some small thing to demonstrate, just shine some light through a beaker of Karo syrup and watch the light rotate to the left (because, you know, it's levorotatory). Just a thought. And Tps, taking chemistry as a sophomore is the common thing to do down here. Well, pre-AP chem, at least. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Yea, they don't have any of that up here, everything is state regulated.

How about a report on like antimatter, or matter or something crazy like that?
And I am a sophomore, and I am in Chemistry right now =D |
RE: Science fair Research paper Idea!!!
Anti-Matter? I didn't think that stuff existed.

RE: Science fair Research paper Idea!!!
Sure it exists. In fact, we can make it in a lab. Also, according to Quantum Chromodynamics, particle-antiparticle pairs are being created and destroyed at the very quickest of times, manymany times per second.

So many big words...*looks up some stuff* I already have a primary idea but I will look into some of those and see if they are better (which they probably are) Thanks you guys.
