My god how do you guys play songs like......

runnymorning, hellbeat, uber rave, and so on. How do you see these arrows, or are there bots or hacks or some kind of very slow mode?

People are good.

ToshX 02-25-2005 02:05 PM

Because everyone that can pass Uber Rave is OBVIOUSLY hacking. Either that, or we clicked the button that says "Click here to become awesome at FFR and other related games."

super-smashman 02-25-2005 02:09 PM

Here are your options...
- Get a kick ass computer so the framerate will be good
- Get a better internet connection
- Play StepMania
- Cheat/Hack (this is a bad option)
- AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PRACTICE!

The last one is the best/most effective method...

...duh

ToshX 02-25-2005 02:13 PM

He's just throwing a bunch of bullshit at you, just hit the "Click here to become awesome at FFR and other related games" button.

Mindfields 02-25-2005 06:08 PM

Thats not very nice, Tosh. And stupid. He joined over a month ago. He's not that stupid. Well, he shouldn't. I've never passed Uber Rave or Hellbeat, but I got pretty close on runnymorning.

emccky 02-25-2005 06:15 PM

lol. just hit all four keys fast and you can pass anything.. now doing good on those songs.. thats a bit trickier.

Bahamut-X 02-25-2005 06:39 PM

PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE

Practice and you will get better. Trust me, every song is possible.

Mindfields 02-25-2005 09:11 PM

Yeah, right now I'm training 2 friends in the art of FFR. One has played before, but never really got any good, the other one plays piano. They both have advantages, they're just not using them!

I just thought this thread is funny after seeing your challenge thread.

Stepmania really helps. When I first started playing, I thought I was good for FC'ing songs like Secret Zombie Room. At that stage, I couldn't pass songs like Runny Morning, Uber Rave, CIA Rave or Hellbeat. I have been playing SM for maybe a month or two now, and i can finish any song on FFR(as far as I know).

The sad thing is... that actually works :P, I got like 950 Boos on Silence though lmfao

AasumDude 02-27-2005 07:46 AM

to get a good score, be cheap and have a 56 k modem. while the arrows go by at like 3 km/h, pick them off as they go by ;)

Draigun 02-27-2005 11:16 AM

Uhh..I have a 56K modem..and it doesn't lag at all. The modem doesn't have anything to do with it, being as it loads the ENTIRE song before you play..

zobadagrk 03-1-2005 10:02 AM

GO WHITE SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ban him. Now. KEEP PRACTICING!

Seriously, everytime I play at school, people crowd around cause they want to try, so I put them on Halcyon. You should know the rest.

Stev031415 03-3-2005 01:15 PM

You just have to practice a bunch. When i started playing FFR i thought Uber rave, hellbeat and runnymornig were impossible. But after a bunch of practice, i can get a noticeable distance (still not completly though).
