Can't you just seek to make the most out of whichever circumstance you're in?
(I just saw your post on the side. I liked reading your profile..you seem like a very fun person to me.) |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
I thought this thread was going to be someone showing a black flag or something

(i don't know if you actually mean that but i want to take everyone seriously just in case) is being myself really considered a first world problem? i'm not even talking about fulfilling my dreams, i'm talking about being able to be myself and express myself without having to keep how i really feel to myself by the way i finally got estrogen but insurance didn't cover it so i had to pay about $225 |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
I guess I'm just salty because my physical body gives me pain all the time including right now and so I'm coming at it from that comparison, it pisses me off to think someone is feeling broken because their natural-state, presumably relatively painless body, isn't good enough for them
you're expressing yourself here just fine, are you not? |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
but it's not my natural state; it's not me; i'm missing a part of myself; in fact it's worse because i feel like i have to be someone else
i hope you feel better |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
ah, the lenses of identity
We're lucky to live in the time and era we do. I'm glad we/society can help you to feel whole. I feel better and then I will feel worse again, my autoimmune disease isn't going anywhere though. I'm more free now than I can recall being though, so I'll take it. |

Re: My Spirit is Broken
it says there are specialist doctors to help autoimmune disease in an article i'm reading
"See a doctor if you have symptoms of an autoimmune disease. You might need to visit a specialist, depending on the type of disease you have. Rheumatologists treat joint diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome. Gastroenterologists treat diseases of the GI tract, such as celiac and Crohn’s disease. Endocrinologists treat conditions of the glands, including Graves’ and Addison’s disease. Dermatologists treat skin conditions such as psoriasis." also it says that "Treatments can’t cure autoimmune diseases, but they can control the overactive immune response and bring down inflammation. Drugs used to treat these conditions include: nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) and naproxen (Naprosyn) immune-suppressing drugs Treatments are also available to relieve symptoms like pain, swelling, fatigue, and skin rashes. Eating a well-balanced diet and getting regular exercise can also help you feel better." https://www.healthline.com/health/au...ders#treatment |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
its pretty nifty how I can turn the burning nerve pain into a glowing pleasant warmth with nothing but my mind
wasn't doing that before February added: taking ibuprofen is harder on my liver than drinking smoking weed and pain killers like co-gabapentin make me a zombie to the world also makes it likely I will be eating food I shouldn't be if I can't tell if it damages me |
Re: My Spirit is Broken
It's a journey to be where you want to be. You should still love yourself even if you're not there yet.
