The Final Fantasy 7 song. I could swear I remember playing that song here a long time ago. Was it removed for copyright? or am I not remembering right and it was never part of the game?

it wasn't One Winged Angel, but some arrangement/remix of this was previously a thing in-game.

I believe it was removed not because of any action from square or whoever, but just preemptively as the site got bigger.

It was Those Who Fight Further, specifically the Black Mages version that used to be in this game when it first started.
