Sharpnelsound update
 

Haven't been active on here for a while but I figured I'd give you guys an update as well since this community is where my appreciation for the Japanese hardcore scene began.

As some of you might remember, I've been collecting Sharpnelsound for many years now. I basically only needed Double Dutch (SRPC-0002) and From The Heart (SRPC-0002.5) to complete the series. In the 10+ years I've been collecting I had never even seen a copy anywhere aside from a photo posted by an anonymous poster. Not even DJ Sharpnel or any of the DJs from those days have a copy. They all sold out at the events they were sold at. Only about 40 copies of Double Dutch and an estimated 5 to 10 copies of From The Heart exist. The master files were subsequently lost in a hard drive crash. I was beginning to think I'd never find anyone that had them.

But recently...
I managed to find someone that had both... and he was willing to sell them to me!




So, I guess that concludes that lol

Yes, I do remember you telling me about these rare CDs you were missing, and that was many years ago! You must've been ecstatic to find the last missing few!

Yeah I was beginning to lose hope lmao. I was setting my goals to just finding Double Dutch, and then both Double Dutch as well as From The Heart showed up on my path when From The Heart is much, much more rare. Had to pay a pretty penny for them but I wasn't gonna pass these up.

So what "variants" are left? Well, what if anything is missing?

The important variants would be either of the two 1996 Project Gabbangelion Yonderdome CDs that were released before Sharpnelsound started, and the variant of SRPC-000X 別名おにぎりトラックス with the girl on the cover facing the other direction. Those are the tough ones to get, but Yonderdome was re-released as Early Style of Otakuspeedvibe 1996-1998 and all of the variants that I currently still need are just minor cover or packaging variations with no unique music that's not already on the other albums. ;)

I have them backed up but I wouldn't want to go behind the artists' backs especially since some of them helped me acquire some of these CDs (and it would also be really easy to trace back to me lol). Would be up to Sharpnel to re-release them if he wanted to.

Omg!!! This collection fills my 15 year old self with so so much joy. I cannot believe you have this collection I am so happy for you. I wish I could get my hands on the CD with Flower Forever. <3 wow.

When my computer is done being built, I’m definitely gonna have to torrent this whether I like it or not. How do you even find copies?!
