i'll still play the song in case some miracle comes along, but if i end up eliminated, i won't be mad about it.

especially since yesterday, i was 10 notes away from improving my 8g to a 5g, and my friend hit my hand off the keyboard at the last second LOL oh, good times...

Lmao! Oh man that sucks, but yeah glad to hear you'll keep trying that's a good attitude :) even if you get eliminated you've come a long way and that alone is enough to be proud of, so congrats!

Re: 10th Official FFR Tournament

If D7 keeps this up, there will have to be a RATO level file introduced every Official, and certainly more 94-96 range files introduced as well.

It seems the community has been against multiple higher difficuty files squeezing their way into the game, but it seems inevitable as the community improves. Since I've been playing, the community has gone from having 2 D7 level players to the 37 we have now. Our files but accomadate, or we will keep having the AAA fest every year through even late rounds as we've seen.

If round one started and an 85 and eased up in difficulty from there, there wouldn't be nearly as many AAA cutoffs, and would be more in line with the score spreads of the other divisions.

Everyone in this round almost AAA'd lmao, why is this a thing?

Can R6 at least be like a 91 or something?

Everyone says this, but who has actually done a poll to determine that's what "the community" thinks?
I've seen plenty of people who agree that putting hard files in the game is fine, and comparatively fewer more outspoken people who complain about it cluttering levelranks, alienating new users, or other arguments of that nature. There's definitely great arguments to be made on both sides, but for some reason the prevailing wisdom is that basically everyone doesn't like hard files being added, and I question that.

I should ask that on a front page survey, perhaps after the conclusion of the tournament to get feedback on how big events like this are handled.
It would be good to have empirical evidence of exactly what the community views as too many hard files.

If the level ranks were raw scoring based, it would clear up many issues with the idea. People aren't against new content, just against mashers getting ranked above them on said charts. I think that's the real underlying issue.
