Nvidia 770 GTX on 3 monitor Surround

Does anyone have any experience playing games using Nvidia surround on 3 monitors? I'm going to be buying a 3rd matching monitor soon and want to know if the 770 gtx by itself is enough to run some last gen games at 5760x1080.

At the very least I want to know if I can run 3 monitor surround on a single card at all. I keep seeing videos about all these SLI configurations with 2 lesser cards, but I wanted to go with a 1 high end card setup.

You'd probably need SLI 770s with 4GB of VRAM to get the best effect. If you really wanted a single card, I think a 780 would be the best to handle it but the two 770s will perform better than the single 780.

It is possible to do a single 770 with 4GB of VRAM and run 3 monitors, just not at the highest settings. AA will be an issue.

That seems so hard to believe considering people are playing modern games on 3 monitors with sli on two 560 gtx or two 660 gtx. How can two much worse cards be that much better than one 770?

I might as well just spend 80 dollars to get another 560 if its true.

I'd really like to see someone actually run this setup from one 770 and see what kind of performance there is. All I ever see is people overkilling it and then reporting that they get a constant 60 fps. Well obviously when you buy 3 680 cards you are going to be just fine, that doesn't mean it was necessary. Like how people 2 generations ago would say the same thing about buying a 580 or a 590 saying it was needed to handle modern games at max settings and then they report that they indeed do get 60 fps with it. Well I get the same thing with a 560 gtx so they kind of just blew all that money.

Edit: So I found several examples of running from 1 770 gtx 4gb and running modern games with no problems. I guess I'll just get a 4gb version and call it a day.

Like I said, one 4GB 770 should do if you keep AA around 4x. You should be able to run other setting on high/ultra.

SLI effectively halves the load on your graphics cards (if in 2x, 3x and 4x thirds and quarters, respectively). So of course, two pretty good cards running in tandem will beat out a newer card. 560 and 660 are not bad cards, by any means.

Makes it tempting to just get two of these cards since they are so cheap. I'd also need to get a new power supply through since my current 600w is only enough for one graphics card.

edit: Actually those cards only take 1 8pin pci-e. I could do it with what I have.

Nice. What are you able to run AA at?

I set it at 4x like I usually do and I'm still getting 60 fps. I could maybe do something to start dropping it, but I can't really tell the difference in the visuals.
