When I mentioned that I didn't intend on changing it, I should have worded it better. What I mean to say is that I don't intend on changing the fact that at least top 5 get paid. With how many credits there are, I could easily pay out every single player. However, I personally see more value in doing well in elimination tournaments than doing well in non-elimination tournaments, so it won't be an even spread downward (sorry). I'll work with what I have based off of the amount of entrants.

I'm working 7 days a week from 2pm to 10pm, AJ so please bare with me If I happen to be a little late at some point in the round, if that's okay, and I'll give you a heads up when/if it will happen

Not a problem; I understand how it is to work full time, lol. Just let me know in advance and things will be alright. Also, I feel sorry for you because that schedule sucks (I work 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, although this job is completely shitty and I feel like leaving).

EDIT: I am starting preliminary division placements and those may be updated on the secondary OP occasionally. No promises on them being on the front post until they are finished because I am doing them in Word (auto-saving, capability of retaining formatting, etc).

Yeah lol 56 hours a week sucks too lol, I might be working close to 70 hours soon, once the holiday's are over, so it'd be 12-10 everyday monday through sunday lol it's rough but it's excellent pay close to 3 grand a month at that point so no complaints LOL

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!

This could be just what I need to get motivated to play some more FFR. I've been pretty much all over SM since middie's tournament ended, so count me in. Can't wait to get eliminated in D6 WOO!

What is the max credit amount, 8,388,608 right? The pot is only 272,494 credits away from that, I might donate a little to aid in getting it over that threshold.

Max credit amount used to be 8,388,607, but from what I've heard, it now overflows at a 64-bit integer (i.e. we shouldn't have to worry about it anymore). I have 8,388,609 credits on my account right now, lol.

Also, you mean eliminated in D5 ;)

Thanks. :)

Also, I'm going to use this tournament to try out a more algorithmic way of placing people, so I'm actually going to have two sets of placings. Mathematical placements will come first, and then I'll see how my manual placements compare to them. The manual placements will be the ones that are finalized (to answer that question before it comes up). Currently testing it out right now to see how things go.

Hmm, 64 bit integer huh? Okay guys the credit count overflows at 9,223,372,036,854,775,807! We all need to pitch in and make this happen, only 9,223,372,036,846,539,693 (including the 120k donations from the recent posts) to go!

Five divisions, all right then, I'm getting wrecked.

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!

Gotcha :]

Also, since the credit pot is over 8 mil, why not think about a different credit placing method, instead of top 5 go more since obviously there's a lot of members and would give those who are participating more motive to want to play harder, you know?

I intend on paying more than the top 5, but those who get below top 5 will take a considerable loss in credits, since top 5 = semi-finals. Top 8 will get a respectable amount, but nowhere near top 5, and then below that will just drop off or receive a consolation prize (have not decided yet).
