OMG noob question, how do I scale in Photoshop? I am on a bleepity Mac so I have no MSPaint.

P.S. A quick Google search suggested Edit > Transform > Scale, but for some reason the transform option is grayed out.

Help plz...

Edit: Need to resize a scan.

Charu 07-20-2012 03:08 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

Click on the layer the image is on (Or images). Then push Ctrl + T.

You then can do whatever you want with the image, scale, rotate, change perspective, morph it, ect.

If you're just scaling though, MAKE SURE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP PROPORTIONS RIGHT TO HOLD SHIFT.

EDIT: Oh crud, MAC, whoops.

I think is Command + T then.

Going to throw another spon-con~

This one takes some effort and time, so it'll be open until Sunday night at 11:59 PM Server Time.

I will give the following for this spon-con:
50,000 credits to first place
20,000 credits to second place
10,000 credits to third place
and 2k to anyone that tries.

What you have to do:
Record yourself (video) singing or lip syncing the Pokemon theme song from the first series tv show. I'll choose the best ones (and might go ahead and get some input from others to do so [not going to allow biases]) and distribute prizes accordingly. If you sing it rather than lip sync it, I'll add 10k to the 1st/2nd/3rd prize if you win, and will make your participation prize 5k rather than 2k if you don't win.

If Reshiram or bmah could add this to the OP so it doesn't get missed, that'd be awesome. If you all have any more questions, let me know!

side note: if I can tell you have the whole thing memorized, that's bonus in your favor. Same with doing the full 3 minute version rather than the cut. Make me laugh!

edit:

That's the full song.

Not a word about the ending. As for the rest, if you can do better show me in your video.

BTW Do I get extra points for taking the initiative on this one? I did not realize how scary it can be to put yourself in front of the internet until it came to actually recording and posting the video. Eep!

P.S. Here is the video I used for my instrumental. I have set the stage, now go for it. As much as I would like to win I also want to see other people joining in.

Thinking of doing a sponcon for the PO players so here it is.

http://www.smogon.com/bw/tiers/nu

Compose a team using any 6 pokemon in that list, and try to make them as unique as possible in a battle against me. I will be giving credits based on a couple of things to the top 3 teams I liked the most.

the credit prizes will be as follows:

3k= You nicknamed everyone on your team (+2k if one of the nicks make me laugh)
8k= You gave them your own original move sets and strategies
12k= If you put a decent amount of thought into the team and I feel it would flow very well together
2k= for each of my own NU teams pokemon you faint during our battle.

So there you go. Hopefully this will get people to appreciate the tier more and let's all just have fun with it. See ya

Team Pokemon Leadership Positions:

Event Coordinator:*cough cough*
The Event Coordinator (EC) title is given to veteran user(s). Requirements include being active for at least 3/7 days of the week, checking Team Threads , and making sure everyone on the team feels welcome. The EC's main goal to organize, vocalize, and criticize suggestions. This user will post threads labeled [Poke Event] ~Event Name~

Pokemaster:
The Pokemaster (Pm) title is given to one veteran member of the team, although can be obtained by any user. To get the title of Pm you must challenge the current Pm via FFR Challenge; Pm can only accept five challenges a week. If the challenging user wins he/she is declared the Pm title and is recognized on the Team Pokemon main post. To eliminate excessive challenges you must, put in a price of 1,000 FFR Credits. Pm will not accept the same users challenge more than once a week, and must follow challenge queue before repeating another user. Screen shot proof can be used if current Pm does not admit he lost or is inactive.

I like these ideas.

Re: Team Pokemon

Event coordinator should simply be a single person or a small team picked by only the leaders to coordinate events, although it wouldn't be bad idea to have one.

The Pokemaster idea though I don't like, as the Challenge system means only playing on the Legacy engine, which a lot of people can't play on very well, especially me, as the only noteskin I can play with is Beatmania, it would also be severely unfair as it would just end up being the D6 players holding the position.

We don't really need specific positions for tasks that pretty much any member of this group is encouraged to do. To keep this team active, we ask everybody to participate: that includes welcoming others or make and criticize suggestions on events. It's a group task that everyone should partake in!

This, on the other hand, seems interesting. Just to clarify, are you referring to challenges on FFR games, or Pokemon challenges (Pokemon Online or an actual game)? The latter seems more sensible according to the title you're suggesting, but then again, you may be referring to playing FFR when you state "FFR Challenge". Either way, I like the idea.
@Zak: Then don't challenge the "Pokemaster"; let other able users do it. This can be just one of many things going on a routine basis in this group. People who do participate in this however should be confident in their playing abilities and game settings that optimizes their performance. This idea never forces anybody to challenge the Pokemaster; it's completely optional.

Let's see what Reshiram has to say. :)

I definetely agree with you bmah. I also feel like putting credit wagers in the challenges is great because it encourages players to want to be the pokemaster because that person has several opportunities to earn some credits.

P.S How do I get one of those pokemon banners?

bmah 07-21-2012 01:00 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

Yep, incentive is the key to help people participate. Admit it; true passion alone isn't going to keep this group going haha. Incentives are necessary!

For banners, ask someone like Cold Kitten or Charu. Charu has been pumping a lot of the banners out lately.

It's not really about me not being able to participate, there are a pretty large amount of people who play strictly on the Velocity engine, and there should be a way for all players to be able to participate.

One idea I have is maybe there could be a weekly/monthly mini-tournament of sorts that everyone could be allowed to play in for a shot at the title and a handful of credits?

Re: Team Pokemon

I'm with Zak on the Pokemaster thing being an interesting idea but probably not really working out so well. Like he said, my main concern is the fact that all it takes is one high D5 player or a D6 player taking the title to completely end the idea for anyone under that skill level.. Not saying a D5/6 player couldn't be beaten in a challenge, but it's not really something a D3 player is likely to accomplish. Interesting idea though, we could always try it.

Charu 07-21-2012 01:53 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

Maybe have it like a division thing?

Level 1-8, 1 being the lowest and 8 the highest? I think this would satisfy people who are concerned with high skilled players beating up constantly.

Or we can just change it to "GYM LEADERS".

And go off that.
Having all team members with a 'type' of poke'mon for each leader or something.

ex: I would be fighting for the fire gym leader.

Hmm, perhaps there can be 2-3 Pokemasters covering 2-3 divisions? Or even one Pokemaster per division? A D2 player challenging the D2 Pokemaster for instance. And perhaps if the D2 challenges a higher-division Pokemaster and wins he/she can upgrade to become a Pokemaster of a higher division. It doesn't have to be a one-for-all thing where inevitably a winner would probably be a highly-skilled D6 player.
It would change the scope of {Zero}'s original idea, but how about that to help even out the odds?

edit: Charu is pretty much echoing this idea.

That wasn't Zak's main concern though. His main concern was that the option for Challenges are restricted to one type of engine. Perhaps this idea will become viable in the future if that mode becomes available in both engines.

OR, if you can think of a way to present a challenge without the use of the Challenge feature, go for it. Zak has an alternative I'm open to:

@Frank Munoz: that would be pretty fun and relevant to this team, if you want to rename divisions to that sort of thing.

Yes, yes i do.

I would also be vsing u for fire gym~
anyways. If this idea does take off, I'd be nice if we could change the op to divide the 'team members' into their respective 'types'.

Also, those with double types... h.. uh. I'm not sure. I guess they get to choose what 'gym' they want to challenge.

Re: Team Pokemon

@bmah, I phrased my statement a little too poorly, I realize Zak's main concern wasn't the division thing, I was saying it was a concern of mine as it was one of Zak's. It was just MY main concern. Either way, that Pokemaster idea with divisions could be a cool solution.

bmah 07-21-2012 02:25 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

Oh, I was also thinking of going for weekly events too just to keep the team going. These events would preferably be on a smaller scale than other events. Random events without a set date are great, but weekly stuff helps maintain the team's activity/traffic. People would always have something to look forward to.

Zakvvv666 07-21-2012 02:29 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

While mentioning the tournament idea, I was hoping it would be implied there should be divisions as without them it would still just end up with high D5-D6 players being at the top anyways.

Charu 07-21-2012 02:31 AM

Re: Team Pokemon

Hmm, well since this is Pokemon themed and stuff, I know there isn't that much music in the Pokemon series that would be suitable for this idea.

How about someone gives out a random Pokemon themed song, doesn't have to official, could be a remix or something, and have people try and attempt to step that particular song? Then by the end of the week, a judge or two can decide which chart is the best for that particular song is declared the winner and is awarded some credits and maybe then some for his/her troubles.

I don't know, just sprouting a random Pokemon/FFR themed idea, haha.

I do understand this problem greatly, but~

It is Gym Leader, and if Poke'mon were real, gym leaders wouldn't be so easy.
I know it will be difficult for a low tier player to even have a chance, but it takes 'skill' to become one.

Think of it as a real gym battle.
Train your poke'mon(fingers) and earn that title to become Gym Leader.
Also, I guess you can change ur pokemon and go for an 'easier' gym~

SS Anne
Rocket Hideout (the lair under the poster)
Pokemon Tower (Lavender Town)

Surprised no one else has said fighting Gym leader. I'm up for that one!

sssssss SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

The gym you fight for was suppose to go off of the type(s) your 'favourited' Poke'mon is. ssssssssssss

ex: Frank Munoz - Arcanin - fire.

But eh. yalldowhatyouwant

Your idea never really elaborated on the specifics on being a gym leader. The qualifications, the who, the what, etc. If this was something like one gym leader per division, people just can't go randomly picking to be a gym leader for instance.

What I had in mind(which I shoulda set up sooner) was to have 17 leaders (wow that's alotholyfck). One for each type.

1 - NORMAL
2 - FIRE
3 - WATER
4 - ELECTRIC
5 - GRASS
6 - ICE
7 - FIGHTING
8 - POISON
9 - GROUND
10 - FLYING
11 - PSYCHIC
12 - BUG
13 - ROCK
14 - GHOST
15 - DRAGON
16 - DARK
17 - STEEL

And the gym you fight for is based off your favorited pok'emon as I said not too long ago.

ex:
Fire
Frank Munoz
Bmah
(Reshiram)
etc.

Reshiram is in () because he would be able to choose between fire, or dragon gym because of his double type fire dragon.

And with 17 leaders, that would give many members a chance for the gym leader title.
So the gym you would be going to challenge is already set by your fav. poke'mon(saying this once again).

Below this line are things that, if you just have no chance at the gym ur facing and can't handle it anymore and want to change or something
_________________________________________________________________

[If you want to change your fav. poke'mon to challenge an 'easier' gym then speak you would speak to one of our team poke'mon leaders or something I don't know..
Or if you have a second favourite, than you can use that one's type(s) to challenge a gym..maybe]

I'm also not really certain on how the challenge would go down yet. but this is what I have so far.

I think having one gym leader per division would be good. That makes more sense in my opinion.

I think that almost goes without saying. xD
Whenever we get gym leaders decided I challenge whichever one I am allowed to, whether that be Electric type or D1 gym leader.

Re: Team Pokemon

Shouldn't the gym leader be the one who is most threatening (aka gonna win) and in team pokemon for each division? (like bob bob, me or frank for d5)

Maybe I should get it if we do divisions since I said something first. xD
Or maybe we should have an initial challenge for it.
