Kommi's still banned from here, while LG and I don't have much free time due to school and other reasons. Keep in mind too, I'm barely scraping by with managing a community pack.

Either wait for Choof to settle down, wait for Kommi to be officially unbanned whenever that happens, or wait until the end of April when I'm officially finished the school semester. Unless someone from D4 is brave enough to prove me wrong and run this thing. Decisions, decisions...

If either of you (or anyone else) want to do the song-picking part of hosting a tournament, send me a PM or write on my comment wall. I've co-hosted a tourney before, so like bmah said I know the general schematics when it comes to organizing one. I just saw so much potential and fun in this tournament, I would hate to see it go to waste, especially since the division's have already been figured out.

If LG could manage to find appropriate songs for each round, reuben can take care of the rest. How does that sound to both of you? I'd also hate to see this tournament go to waste.

If you both manage to start this off, the first thing you'll have to do is to re-accumulate the credits and reconfirm the players attending the tournament...that's something reuben can probably do.

Sounds good. LG, I sent you a comment on your profile regarding the tournament, so let me know if you're interested and if so, it'd be great if you can get me that song list as soon as possible.

I can spare some time with helping out on song picking (if LG isn't free), probably not on D4 songs though since I'm in it as well.

Ok, I'm up for anyone helping out with song picking, so see what you can do and give me a PM. :3

Patashu Solo Beginner Pack
Solo Japan Pack
Solo Monogatari
Solord State Squad (contrary to the name of the pack, most of the files have full charts)
Xiao Solo Beginner Packs 1-3
BCMP 6 (i.e. the guest pack), possibly 1-5 too
Again, the packs that Choof wanted to use. Look through these. Choof mentioned to me in particular that he wanted to use BCMP 6 for later rounds, although that doesn't mean BCMP 6 only has hard songs.

Files should test a variety of skills: streams, chords, brackets, chordstream, trills, polyrhythms, and everything in between. Obviously the lower end tiers will not even see some of these, especially for beginners who've never tried solo before.

I have a few suggestions, but as I said, I didn't play all of these packs.

edit: hehe, added GD

Don't forget Solo Japan Pack, Choof always forgets that pack exists and I had to bitch him out to use it. I made it -specifically- for D2/D3 players in mind—you won't find a pack any better that suits intermediate players, I can guarantee you that much. Well, other than Solo Monogatari but I was working with Sargon in conjunction pretty much. A good chunk of the XSBP and PSBP oni charts are even harder than SJP files. Even with fully charted difficulties, there is no clear middleground established which really drove me insane.

Well I guess that goes to say that the person who chooses the songs from those packs should be very discriminate, or even change the list of packs being used.

It'll take a bit of planning time then before this tourney can restart.
