Texture is a big thing I've been trying to bring out, I find it's an awesome thing to capture in an image, and conveys a lot of atmosphere in the photo. Glad you dig it dandy mandy : >

Took this one yesterday

Whew that snail macro o-o

I like the B&W spider one, especially since it's B&W. These are all pretty neat, keep it up.

First one is surreal, looks like it's floating in the air but there's quite a lot of particles in the water. What shutter speed did you use ?
I would probably boost the clarity and exposure of the two shots of the monkey just a little bit. The sign behind the turkey (?) is distracting.

Also, very bleak tones, makes for a depresssive atmosphere. Was it cold that day ? (and yeah, that lens is sharp :))

The fish one was 1/250 at 400 ISO, the aquarium was pretty smudgy n shit though, was surprised I got any usable shots lol.

For the monkey photos, I could've boosted the exposure but I felt like it was getting a bit blown out (though could've compensated with some highlights being pulled down, to a point). They are quite bleak though :P also I have enhanced the texture on the fur in the more open photo of the primate, though more clarity and I'd feel like the background's presence would become too apparent. Probably could have enhanced the details with a different combination of sliders being tweaked in the B&W adjustment.

By the way it was pretty cold rainy at one point, though it was quite sunny and warm nonetheless. I guess my mood has just been a reflection of the way I've been editing these 8-) and because I feel it's more realistic for the sake of the animals in the scenes, putting myself in their shoes. Not always the case, but it was for a lot of these, watching them behave. That's my subjective opinion though! I totally dig the insight on em.
