Re: New lens
It's an old thing I made a few years ago lol, been meaning to rig up a real one. I think the untidiness of it aids the style of most of them though. 8-)

Re: New lens
You've got some weird stuff in your house lol.
Everything looks really good though. |
Re: New lens
Trying some longer exposures.

Here's just a few more. I have a lot that I took that night, gonna be awhile before I have it all edited/stitched. ![]() ^Meh... first pitiful attempt at an HDR panorama. ![]() (^ I really love the water in this one. It was really windy that day so it sucks that the trees are fuzzy -__- ) This was a pretty cool panorama, dramatic angle. A much better HDR panorama. http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4jbip0.jpg I might get a few more edited after work. EDIT: Here's a big one http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4jelei.jpg EDIT: another http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...er-d4ji9sf.jpg |
Re: New lens
Two more.... these buggers took awhile. The second one is full of flaws, spot them all!!!

Re: New lens
Both pictures have a really good mood, I've already told you my critiques on msn :3

Re: New lens
;3 you sure did~ we didn't even go over that, right past the tree to the right with the clipping was an issue, the photo didn't even align properly. Good jorb.
This one's a lot more simple. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...er-d4jt46q.jpg edit; http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4ju4ei.jpg |
Re: New lens
Where's the "like" button on those?

Re: New lens
;3 on my deviantart page I guess~
Here's some more. I just took 19 panoramas that will take me another week to fully be done editing but yep. And they might not all turn out (I'll be surprised if half of them do, I'll do my best to make them so, though~ you can tell because they're usually over-edited in my attempts of repairing or blending mistakes...) http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...er-d4k88rd.jpg http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/i/20...er-d4k84a5.jpg http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4k7wxh.jpg http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4k6y7l.jpg http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...er-d4jxmxu.jpg The ones with the blur... meh, I'm not crazy on it. I regret ruining those photos 8-) |

Those are delicious shots, I love the postprocessing, you must teach me the ways ;o |
Re: New lens
I gotta tell you, I've worked out a formula for shots like that first one there that's very little involved.
http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...er-d4k8drb.jpg I take all my shots in RAW and run them through an HDR program, even if there's no HDR effects, just to see what I can fine tune with the photos to amplify the details I want. Then really all I do is, after I've stitched them/cleaned up the edges by healing/cloning, up the vibrance, lower the saturation, play with some curves and mask out towards the edges (I like when there's a focal point and the edges kind of trail off slightly), I use the high-pass filter sharpening technique (duplicate your working layer, high pass filter, look for the level where most of the details are crunchy looking, then make that layer blending mode Soft Light (or hard light) and then erase around the tips of trees or wherever it might clip). Thar ya be. More to come. Many more. |

Re: New lens
I guess I'll put these in the same thread. I found a wasp in my basement, it was still alive but barely.

Re: New lens
Poor bee. He's clinging on for dear life and all you're doing is posing his lifeless body in various objects for the artistic sake of photography.
Nice job. xD |
Re: New lens
I know, I'm so cruel :']
Here's some more, went on a long walk the other day to a place I hadn't been for about a decade. So nostalgic, and it's changed so much. I wanted to capture that feeling of "wow, this has changed a lot since I was a kid". Which maybe affects only me in this case, but I'm doing it to please ME :P http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/20...er-d4l6k8b.jpg http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/20...er-d4l6m8w.jpg http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20...er-d4la0l9.jpg http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/20...er-d4la32u.jpg The last one there is my favourite so far. I've stopped using HDR as seen in the past two pics, it's just not useful to me anymore for the kind of mood I want to convey. It's handy for bringing out textures and contrast though, so I might dabble with it if a photo is lacking. |
Re: New lens
I don't care for the lens distortion in the first one, it detracts from the feel of what the photo could have held imo.
The second one is my favorite, really feels cold and alone. The last one is pretty cool seeing abandoned tracks like that, but it seems washed out, could definitely bring out the contrast of the tracks more and it would add so much more depth and possibly emotion to it. Are all of these from a tripod or handheld? |
