Re: Show your sketching!

This is still considered "sketching" in the realm of 3d, and it doesn't deserve its own thread so I'll post it here lol.

Doing some freelance work for a videogame company out of Seattle.

They didn't like this concept cause it's generic. Skyped with the CEO and creative director for brainstorming and stuff and ended up sketching this out.

Slapped some legs and wheels and crappy materials on it.

Oh yeah and here's a sketch from when I was 14 years old, this is before I had taken any art classes or anything. Pretty much blew ass.

Re: Show your sketching!

Please practice more, I would love to see what you can do once you're used to it!

Re: Show your sketching!

its hard to get use to it because it just doesnt feel like pencil/pen in my hand and the pressure sensitivity is weird. i guess this is what i get though for springing for cheap tablet heh.

Jea from DJ Sharpnel. I still have trouble with getting the proportions down just right from sight only, so I edited it around in photoshop to get the positions right. Still a bunch of stuff wrong with it though. Oh well.

That's still pretty much dead-on. The hairline is a little weird...but great job nonetheless!

Agreed, you need a better camera.

The naked chick looks like Thelma from Scooby-Doo xD

Reviving this thread. Didn't spend a lot of time on this sketch and I think I could do better but still random practice.

edit: I need to do some digital paintings again soon. I find it much easier to paint than to sketch cause I can just paint over instead of erasing to fix stuff.

Good stuff Spitfire :-D

Here's a couple of things I've done the past week during my lunch break at work |:

^Did that one today, might build off it on my 15 minute break tomorrow... doesn't need much more I don't think.

v And this one I've been working on every so often when I feel like I'm in the mood. Usually I'm not in the mood to build on it though. I have to be careful not to ruin what I already have ;/

All done ~1 hour or less :) except for the last one I've been working on whenever.
