Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
Don't know why anyone would play more than 16 tables to begin with; it's pretty silly. Your profit margin is going to be so small at 20+ at that point that it would be more profitable to play less tables than try to play more.
I mean, at the micro stakes level, or if it's low stakes SNGs, I can actually handle like 30 tables at the same time, but I don't like playing those games anyway. The only reason I can play so many tables is because I already know how to play every hand without ever thinking about it, so it's only a matter of clicking fast enough. Funny thread though, XD With that said, I haven't played any poker really since the sites went down :( Played some low stakes home games, and got real unlucky, but that's about it. |

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
Yeah. We were playing PLO, and I made a kind of hard call, flopped two pair + nut flush, she called flop and jammed the turn, essentially all in.
I could fold there, but for some reason I sensed weakness, and make the call (Trying too hard to make it look like she liked the board; standard tells like immediately looks at chips, unconcerned when I reach to bet...but she was tanking with the nuts earlier). Strangely, I had her completely dominated. She flopped a straight flush draw, but her flush was dead and I had blockers, so I was like 87%. I agree to run it 4 times. She hit the straight each time. Haven't played since XD I can't get any action in NLHE; most of the people I know won't play me, so I'll have to hit the casino some time, but I'm low on $ right now. |
Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-

I only lose that hand 4 times 1% of the time. IIRC Patrik Antonius has this crushed though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49cDMHMITMg |

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
god damn that robl/patrik hand is the sickest thing ever... what is robl doing with his life good god
ya reach, the only people i know playing more than 16 tables are playing <$20 sngs and banging out 25-30 at a time. going back to raleigh soon, ready for some good 12+hr nl sessions... looking for a solid plo and/or omaha 8 to play tho. my hi lo game has progressed so much, and the more plo hands i play the more im liking it. just now getting a semi-solid feel for plo but im really confident at 8 or better. limped for 7 on top into a 4 handed pot from the small blind with 89o flop 6s7s9. i lead out $22, original raiser instantly moves in for $140 more. shows AQs run it twice bangs it both times. great way to start the night |
Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
i never really got omaha. played just dicking around with a friend at .25/.50 but never tried to play for enough that it mattered.
