Well, if you go to Vandy, I'll be near by.. xD Not at the school. About 3 1/2 hours to the east, over in Knoxville. Main campus of University of Tennessee is literally 10 minutes from my house.. >_>

Re: High School Seniors, where are you applying?
Good luck getting in.
You know I was just thinking about the people I know who never got a chance to go to college, and will now forever be stuck in a dead end job in retail or fast food or something. Please, do not ever let your self education stop. ![]() Old friend from highschool, this makes me sad and facepalm at the same time. |

It IS hard to tell when somebody is being sarcastic over the internet, when all you can see is text. |
Re: High School Seniors, where are you applying?
You just suck at sarcasm, it's ok though, it's not the end of the world.

Re: High School Seniors, where are you applying?
Next time use sarcasm tags.

Re: High School Seniors, where are you applying?
not that it's a big deal(it's not) but how exactly do I suck at sarcasm? I'm failing to see how this is being turned against me just because you guys suck at interpreting sarcasm.
oh oh soooo sorry I didn't make it more obvious! Sorry your highness I'll work on it! Izzy, great suggestion! =D Back on topic. The only college I'm really interested in is UNL, and that may be the only place I apply for. |
Re: High School Seniors, where are you applying?
I normally don't post in Chit Chat, but I'm almost done with college and choice of college is a subject I've had a lot of stress over so I'd really like to save people what I've been going through.
Unless it is extremely relevant to your major (that is, you have researched the faculty of that university and know enough about them to know more than just that it "has a good English program"), do not pick a college at which you will need to take out over $20,000 in student loans for in a 4-year span. You will be wasting a lot of money on a BA. The market is becoming increasingly saturated with college graduates holding only BAs; as such, your choice of grad school matters much more than undergrad. And I don't know of any grad schools that will ding you for going to a cheap university over an expensive one. |
