I sometimes wonder how people can truly desire an afterlife.

I didn't mean to at all, sorry you saw it that way. I'll be careful next time. I don't post here often enough to watch out for those kinds of things :P I won't push my view any further.

Re: What happens after we die.
I don't think so, I think explaining this in a language that isn't my mother tongue doesn't make my things clear. But it's very much logical and I can explain any flaw you may have found.

Re: What happens after we die.
1) The knowledge just crumbles once you die because you have no perception anymore, that's just, an absolute ontology where nothing exists for "you" (since you're dead, you're just in a "dead" state, your existence is just known by your peers as dead, so from the moment you're dead, you as you are yourself doesn't exist anymore).
2) I was relying on probabilities, what I said wasn't truly rational, because I was just making a rough speculation there, just don't take it in account, it's really not important. 3) And there is the continuation of this speculation. What I meant there wasn't very clear, I really don't know why you insist on something I said wasn't trying to be true or false. I was just basically making things from a roughly solipsist idea : if there is life after death, then isn't probably every life possible a sole reincarnation of yourself ? There just isn't any "system" (it can still possibly exists because as I said, we have no decisive proof, but it's just a possibility among an infinity of speculations) that could moderate a certain number of "souls" that are reincarnating perpetually - I really have a hard time to explain that complex notion in english but explaining it just basically invalidates the theory of reincarnation by a logic explanation. Hence why I was saying that speculation wasn't aiming to be true or false, it was just an hypothesis I wrote down to make things probably a bit clearer on the problem of after-death. 4) I don't see the problem there. Could you go further on what you don't understand ? |

Why does the burrito have to accept god?
Why can't god just accept the burrito? |
