And that's fine, but don't pretend like your position is well-supported by science like you were implying in an earlier post.

Afterlife = wishful thinking
Nothingness = supported by science

I sometimes wonder how people can truly desire an afterlife.

I didn't mean to at all, sorry you saw it that way. I'll be careful next time. I don't post here often enough to watch out for those kinds of things :P I won't push my view any further.

It's not all that complicated. Anything that would let my consciousness continue to thrive and my creative and visual mind to keep working is desirable to me. :D that's what I'd miss the most. A constant stop-motion and interactive animation of the most amazing visual art pieces I've seen. Maybe I'll grow bored of it in another 50 years though.

Thanks for reading the other things I wrote, it definitely helped you to not repeat things I've already said and thus, you could tell me things I didn't thought about.
Now, if you correctly read through the messages i posted since the last page, you'd know I was talking of an hypothesis and this is by all means not my main premise, it's an auxiliary postulate that isn't meant to be true or false.

I read it all
your logic is all over the place tho bud

I don't think so, I think explaining this in a language that isn't my mother tongue doesn't make my things clear. But it's very much logical and I can explain any flaw you may have found.

That's it. Or maybe not, because we just have no proof.

This is why I say your logic is all over the place

Re: What happens after we die.

1) The knowledge just crumbles once you die because you have no perception anymore, that's just, an absolute ontology where nothing exists for "you" (since you're dead, you're just in a "dead" state, your existence is just known by your peers as dead, so from the moment you're dead, you as you are yourself doesn't exist anymore).

2) I was relying on probabilities, what I said wasn't truly rational, because I was just making a rough speculation there, just don't take it in account, it's really not important.

3) And there is the continuation of this speculation. What I meant there wasn't very clear, I really don't know why you insist on something I said wasn't trying to be true or false. I was just basically making things from a roughly solipsist idea : if there is life after death, then isn't probably every life possible a sole reincarnation of yourself ? There just isn't any "system" (it can still possibly exists because as I said, we have no decisive proof, but it's just a possibility among an infinity of speculations) that could moderate a certain number of "souls" that are reincarnating perpetually - I really have a hard time to explain that complex notion in english but explaining it just basically invalidates the theory of reincarnation by a logic explanation. Hence why I was saying that speculation wasn't aiming to be true or false, it was just an hypothesis I wrote down to make things probably a bit clearer on the problem of after-death.

4) I don't see the problem there. Could you go further on what you don't understand ?

I accept the fact that my rate of death is higher than most Americans, but that still doesn't change the fact that no one REALLY knows what happens after death.

Theoretically speaking, since your body shuts down and begins to decay, you should return to a state of nothingness and cease to exist. I like to hold onto the belief that there is a heaven and hell though.

hoo boy, did I look like shit.

Why does the burrito have to accept god?
Why can't god just accept the burrito?
