well here's my question, does .9999999 with that bar over it = 1? Best answer gets 500 points. (I say yes, check it out, .33 with the bar + .66 with the bar = two third + one third = 1) what do you think?

0.9999... = 1 Thus x = 0.9999... 10x = 9.9999... 10x - x = 9.9999... - 0.9999... 9x = 9 x = 1. Yeah, I didnt come up with that, I found it on page 3 of the Critical Thinking forum. It is undisputed that .999999 does equal 1 in this forum. |
