Green Eggs.
Just a little thing I did that I thought I'd post-- not the greatest, but I'm just experimenting. Just getting used to my tablet at the moment, I haven't used it for a long while.
Fun fact: I didn't intend for this to be green. When painting it, I got lazy and didn't bother to read the names of the colours, and I guess I was a bit off. By the way, I'm colour blind, so not reading the colours is a big boo boo. Anyway, if possible, I would like some critiquing on my style/suggestions to improve upon. Pleez 'n thanqz |

Re: Green Eggs.
Maybe I should draw a ham slab...
I'll think about this. And yes, midnight, I'll be your virtual cook any day. |
Re: Green Eggs.
You should do it, would be pretty awesome

Re: Green Eggs.
Wow, that looks really nice. The handle and the grease are a bit unrealistic, but it looks really nice overall.
BTW: Colorblind graphics artist, what? |

Re: Green Eggs.
What kind of color blindness?

Re: Green Eggs.
It's diagnosed as a Red-Eye colour deficiency, but I'm not sure what that's limited to in medical terms.
Here's a short synopses: Blue and purple and some shades of hot pink look the same. Some shades of red and brown and green look the same. Light yellow and light green look the same. Light orange and yellow and light green look the same. That's basically the general way it goes for me. I can decipher SOME colours with memorization, but I'm still in the process of perfecting that. |
Re: Green Eggs.
I've had green eggs and ham. Yay for food coloring.

Re: Green Eggs.
Thanks for the comments, all.
Believe it or not, this is the original version. It was indeed an alien egg to begin with, but then I realized it looked more so like a blood orange wedge in the middle. I of course like the actual egg better, but I thought I'd share this one as well: (both of these remain unfinished, as I went on to making my green egg, just for an FYI) and the (not so great) uncooked version. All I did was make the whiteness layer invisible, and thought hey, this looks like the egg before it's cooked. All in all I like the real egg best. |
Re: Green Eggs.
The red eggs look pretty cool too.
|
Re: Green Eggs.
pretty good stuff
also props to you, it must be hard bein a graphical artist when you have trouble telling which color is which. |
Re: Green Eggs.
Yeah, the red eggs are much better textured, I think. All of the texturing work that went into that is much more evident when you make the white layer transparent. Very nice - better than the green eggs, in my opinion.
