DM Ashura now in beatmania IIDX

OK, so while this thread is more gaming-related, I thought it would be of general interest to you guys here on FFR.

As you may know, beatmania IIDX is that "DJ" arcade game where you hit seven keys and scratch a disc. The series is now in it's 16th installation called Beamania IIDX 16 Empress. This version was just released a few days ago (I think on the 18th?).

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that one of the new songs in the game is by DM Ashura, called neogenesis. See it here:

Props to DM Ashura for getting yet another song of his in a bemani game!

he has a contract with Konami... so it's no shock that his music keeps appearing in their games. :)

I have a few things to say.

1.) Can we step the songs he has on bemani games?
2.) This is pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

Need more DM ASHURA. At least give us USA'ers some DM ASHURA for PS2. I'm begging for some neoMAX or some Celebrate Night (Remix).

No, Konami owns those songs and the artist has no rights to allow usage of it anywhere.

Sounds like something Konami would have a wet dream over. Not particularly my taste, but it sounds nice.

It's a pity that Ashura will most likely never get an audience outside of weeaboos and hardcore rhythm gamers. I suppose that's the ultimate irony when you compose in a niche.

I wouldn't mind seeing NeoMAX outside of DDR, but if DDR butchers NeoMAX...

After what they did to deltaMAX though >.>...

But congrats to him anyways. Not too surprising since he already made a few appearances in the DDR Home Versions.

Don't get me started. xD

But I would give him credit for being able to hit the Bemani air-waves.

Already released in DDR Ultramix 4.

Why are all of Ashura's songs on XBOX versions of DDR?

Also, the song sounds nice, beautiful even, but it's not as good as a lot of the music you'll find in IIDX games. It's still very cool to see his music in a rhythm game other than DDR. To bad I can't play IIDX. :(

Which is my primary problem with Bemani music; it hasn't changed considerably in the past five years.

IIDX 9th and 10th were so good and so diverse. Then DJ Yoshitaka took over as music producer and things went seriously downhill.
