FFR PvE Tournament
Inspired by the RPG Tournament FFR PvE Tournament: Enter The Battledome Backstory Every year the people of town Axminster have a tournament to determine the strongest warrior in the land. Through a series of six rounds, fighters are tasked with attacking and defending against increasingly difficult enemies, from grotesque goblins to deadlier, more exotic creatures. Only the strongest warriors will survive. Of course, there is a glorious prize, copious amounts of Gold and glory! Current Round Songs Enemy #6Just Run Attack: 60 Defense: 60 D1 Attack: Dreadnought [Standard] (33) 33025/33650 (25g) Defend: Gameboy Rave (32) 20475/21100 (25g) D2 Attack: Grandolin (41) 33175/33800 (25g) Defend: Chaoz Fantasy (41) 47225/47850 (25g) D3 Attack: Travel Demon (63) 53725/54350 (25g) Defend: FInder (62) 33825/34450 (25g) D5 Attack: 4 Chord Touhou (74) 89175/89800 (25g) Defend: Beware the Purple Water (74) 86475/87100 (25g) D6 Attack:: Attack:: Phi-dentity Crisis 126325/126950 (25g) Defend: Rage Template (87) 78375/79000 (25g) The End of this round is October, 23rd, at 9:59 P.M. The Run Down Number of Rounds: 6 Length of Rounds: 4 Days Round Cut Offs: 10:00 P.M. Server Time Divisions: 6 or 7 Songs Per Round: 2 for each Division Eliminations Yes* Start Date:Monday, September 22nd Submissions Screenshots showing a timestamp OR a Replay IF you inform me of your quit out key in every submission. If these are lacking, the score will be denied Late Scores Policy Late scores will be penalized by taking 3 attack and defense points off what you would have earned PER DAY the score was late. After falling more than a single round behind, the player would be removed from the tournament. Considering the final standings will be based on total stats, this is a hefty penalty which may make it difficult to survive the later rounds, so please submit on time! Spreadsheet Battle Mechanics Base Attack: 10 Base Defense: 10 Raw Score Differential Per Stat Point: 25 Stat Gain Rounding: Always Down Objective: Exceed Target Raw Scores to Build Stats and Survive The two charts in each round represent an Attack and a Defend. There will be a target raw score for each, and if your adjusted* combined raw scores exceed that of your opponent, you move on to the next round. In round one, everyone, including your first enemy, begins with 10 Attack and 10 Defense. Adjusted* raw scores only come into play when your Attack or Defense differ from your opponent's stats. *Adjused raw scores occur when you and your opponent have differing Attack or Defense Stats. Each point of difference in each stat makes a 25 point swing for or against your favor in that category. This is likely to occur after round 1. Scoring over the target raw score may gain you extra stat points in Attack and Defense which benefit you in later rounds. Stats Cannot be lost in the same manner for scoring below the target score. You will be eliminated, however, if your adjusted* combined raw score is negative. Note: To prevent snowballing or falling way behind, stat differentials between you and your opponent only affect whether or not you survive, not your stat gain for the round. The stat gain will always be based off the target raw score for Attack or Defense. If you want to see the math/examples, click the spoiler below. Just know the better you do now, the easier it will be to defeat your future opponents. To make life easier, I will calculate everyone's total raw score requirement to pass the round on the scores spreadsheet. Winning The player who either survives the longest, or has the highest stat total in each division at the end of six rounds, wins the division. IF there is a tie in total stat points, the player with the most cumulative Raw Score will win the division. Prizes I will kick off the credit pot with 100,000 credits. Everyone who sumbits until they are eliminated will receive credits, and those who perform better will win a greater percentage of the pot. The highest stat total from all divisions will also win a bonus credit prize. Total Pot: 609,320 Credits Donations: axith: 200,000 Credits psychoangel691: 150,000 Credits reuben_tate: 100,000 Credits TheSaxRunner05: 100,000 Credits ThunderFlip: 50,000 Credits beeattack:5,820 ryuyasha: 2,000 Credits portalbob340: 1,500 Credits Just a note: prize payouts will be weighed based on how many rounds to get through, not just how well you placed in your division. For example, you may win your division, but if you're eliminated in round 4, someone who made it through rounds 5 or 6 will still win more credits. So, even if you're the last person in the division, or we get a small turnout because of all the concurrent tournaments, everyone still has motivation to get through as many rounds as possible. Participants List Placements End/Legal Notes Do Not discuss placements in the thread, please PM me with any issues throughout the tournament. No Cheating, and I reserve the right to bar from the tournament any user I suspect of cheating OR displaying repeated poor behavior within, or outside of, the tournament thread on the public forum. Thank you for your cooperation. |

Re: PvE Tournament
In D6. Should the first example either be AAA, +250, +10? or 2g, +200, +8?
If it's 25 per each mark off then 10g target with 2g score would end up being +200. |
Re: PvE Tournament
Correct, I'll fix it in the morning

Now the example demonstrates that if you tie your target raw score, you still progress to the next round. Have I explained things well? Let me know if anyone has any questions about how this will run. |
