TWG: CXXII: Host signups

I know there's a bunch of Vets out there that didn't get to play in the Hydra game.

If you still want to play, you're more then welcome to get one rolling. Put up some game ideas!

The land of Hyrule has been peaceful for many months since Fictionjunction and Falcondude defeated the Gannon in Hyrule castle’s courtyard. Unfortunately, that peaceful feeling had abated in recent days as black storm clouds hung over Hyrule without breaking. Having seen it many times before the inhabitants knew what was coming. The only question was would someone be able to stop what was coming. Link had not been seen since his last victory at Hyrule castle, and was assumed to be searching for a lost friend several lands away.

The Players

all players start with 3 hearts, A hero’s Bow, and a full magic meter

Team Good:

Princess Zelda – Seer – Has the ability to seer one person each night phase. Immune to all arrow types.
Link – The legendary Hero of Time, Link has been cursed by the shadow kingdom. Unwillingly, He seeres Red when seered at night, but Blue if seered during the day. Gains 150 rupees per day. If wolved, A random wolf will take 4 hearts worth of damage. If alive after day 3, Gains the Master’s Sword (vigi kill)
Legendary Archer – Hyrule’s best trained archer. Only Link himself can rival the archery skills of this player. Any arrow used by this player will inflict double damage. Does not know he/she is the Legendary Archer.
Midna Thief, can steal from one player each night. Stealing is either Items or rupees. Player specifies what he would like to target, but will notice other items.
EX:
1. Midna decides to steal rupees from player X. Player X has an Ice arrow, and 200 rupees. Midina takes the rupees, and gets the knowledge that player X has an ice arrow, but does not steal it.
2. Midna decides to steal Items from player X. Player X has an Ice arrow and 200 rupees. Midina takes the Ice arrow, and gets the knowledge that player X has 200 rupees.

8 Humans – Seer Green – General Meat.
*Special Note* One of these humans will be immune to Damage from attacks, but not the effects. Another will be immune to the effects of attacks, but not the damage. They do not know they are special humans

Team Evil:

Zant – Thief, can steal from one player each night. Stealing is either Items or rupees. Player specifies what he would like to target, but will notice other items.
EX:
1. Zant decides to steal rupees from player X. Player X has an Ice arrow, and 200 rupees. Zant takes the rupees, and gets the knowledge that player X has an ice arrow, but does not steal it.
2. Zant decides to steal Items from player X. Player X has an Ice arrow and 200 rupees. Zant takes the Ice arrow, and gets the knowledge that player X has 200 rupees.
Koume – Fire Wolf – Does double damage with fire arrows
Kotake – Ice Wolf – Does double damage with ice arrows
* Special note* Kotake and Koume may fuse together at ANY time, during any phase. During the time they are fused, damage delt by arrows they use do double, as well as the effects of the arrows, They also become immune to all damage and effects of arrow attacks as well as gaining the ability to seer during the night. HOWEVER They may not unfuse until the end of the respective day in which they fused together. If either Koume or Kotake is lynched while the two are fused, BOTH DIE.
Ganondorf – Typical MW – Seeres green under all circumstances. Gains 150 rupees per day. Immune to all arrow attacks.

ITEMS AND RUPEES

Rupees. – All players (with the exception of Link and Ganondorf) gain 100 rupees per night. Rupees can be used at any time to purchase Items from the Store (host). A purchase is made via a PM. Rupees may be passed in any amount to any player at any time.

THE SHOP

The shop contains several items which are essential to your quest. Visit it many times!

Fairy: Cost 300 Rupees – May be used at any time to refill your hearts. If you are killed while holding a fairy, you revive to full health. One time use

Boomerang: Cost 350 rupees – Unlimited uses. Can only be used once during a day/night phase. If used during the day, the targeted player’s vote will be invalidated. Cannot be blocked.

Burning effect will only happen once per night (EX, if player X is hit with 2 fire arrows during the night, He will take 1 heart’s worth of damage from the arrows, and ½ heart’s worth of damage from the burning effect.

Light arrow: 550 rupees – Must be used the night/day it is purchased. Causes 2 hearts of damage to targeted player. If used during the day, the targeted player will be cardflipped in the thread.
--------If used during the night, The targeted player will be seered to the player who shot the arrow.

Heart Container: 1000 Rupees – Gives the buyer another heart, Refills current heart status to full.

Other notes, and specials

When a wolf is lynched, the wolf gives up a Heart Container This container goes to whoever triggered the instalynch, or if the lynch is less than majority, to a random player who voted the wolf. If the wolf dies via an arrow attack, The person who shot the arrow gets the container.

Wolvings / Lynchings cause 3 hearts worth of damage.

After using 2 arrows, Your magic meter will be depleted, requiring you to refill it with a green potion. Without refilling your magic meter, any arrow used will be wasted.

Life bars (damage taken) and Magic bars (magic used) are public, I will update these as often as I can.

Items cannot be used in the same phase in which they are bought, They will be used the phase after. Plan ahead!

Priority will be given to first used items. First come, First serve. I will attempt to Update to the best of my ability in Real Time. Don’t be morons and say something happened before I post that it has happened.

Notes to wolves, Make sure everyone sends in the wolving. If one wolf sends in the wolving and he gets hit with an ice arrow / Boomerang there will be no wolving.

16 players

Please Title all pms Night/day number and your action

EX: Night 1 wolving
Day 3 rupee transfer etc...

Setup
2 Mafia Goon
1 Mafia Traitor
9 Town

Mechanics
Day start
Role Modifications

Modifications

During pre-game, mafia have 72 hours to select which (if any) of the modifications they want to their team. A maximum of three modifications may be selected.
Bulletproof
Role Cop
JOAT (1 shot Strongman, 1 shot Ninja)
Daytalk (passive ability)
Recruit Traitor as Mafia Goon

For each modification that is selected by the mafia, town gains an additional role as well. The town has two roles to start, resulting in a maximum of five town roles randomly selected from the following:
Goon Cop
Roleblocker
Tracker
Bodyguard
Vigilante
Innocent Child (reveal at start of day one)

The following things should be noted by mods:
At the beginning of the game all town aligned players receive a "Vanilla Town" role. Once mafia has selected their abilities all town roles go out. This prevents claims of "received roles before/after mafia modifications".
No player may receive more than one role/modification
The mafia traitor may not receive any abilities if not recruited as well.

James May

Setup
2 Mafia Goons
6 Vanilla Townies
1 Innocent Child (triggered, see below)

Mechanics
Day Start
Scum may talk at Night only
If there are six players alive and two of them are Goons, the game enters "Rarefaction" - the living players are split into groups of three with one Mafia Goon in each. Players may only vote for people in their group. Both groups must lynch the Mafia Goon in their group for the Town to win; if either group of three mislynches, the Mafia wins. There are no more Night phases once Rarefaction begins.
If there are three players alive and one of them is a Goon, the game enters Rarefaction. However, this is identical to a standard 3P LyLo.
If the game enters Rarefaction, the Innocent Child will have their alignment confirmed as Town.

James May

Setup
3 Mafia Goons
2 Werewolves
6 Townies
1 Seer

Mechanics
Day start.
The Mafia team do not possess a nightkill
Seer receives results in the form of Werewolf/Not Werewolf
Please take note of the special endgame mechanics:
The mafia or werewolves win if they obtain a full majority of living players, or if they make up half and at least one protown role is still alive.
If the mafia and werewolves ever make up equal numbers, with no protown roles left alive, then mafia win. Mafia also win if a day phase begins with one mafia, one werewolf, and one protown.

PS: Yes this is the United Nations game with two changes.

1. Insta is off. The reasoning is simply my work schedule won't allow for it to be on and I think it will be a nice change of pace on top of it.
2. There is no user-kill guessing. People seemed to dislike the option (I kinda liked it tbh.)

Didn't really care for this role when it was used in the UN game.
Also think even with your work situation, insta could still work as I'm sure a player would probably post something when insta was reached anyway, and then it could wait until you are available to make the EOD post.

Every skill I have in TWG is dependent on a cardflip at phase end and a cardflip in the morning. I'd prefer not to have a tone-read only game that makes an excessive use of power-roles.

Re: TWG: CXXII: Host signups

This is how I think of it:
If you take out cardflips I will as a wolf be able to completely run fucking free over the thread without dying unless there is an excess of seer power. But under normal conditions with regular seer power I will definitely run the thread into the ground and lead the village on a goose chase with one of my wolves counterclaiming seer (or likely claiming seer first to get rid of the problem head on.)

If you take out cardflips as a villager I will literally never ever be convinced someone is village and I will just tunnel people entirely at random all game.

My point is it always favors wolves unless you just throw OP shit that has nothing to do with solving games in, in which case it's battle of the power roles and not TWG.

An argument that I will never concede. Functions that affect the game that heavily should be carried out by a player, aka the psychic.

I know I'm in the minority on this though.
