"Something Happened" error can, generally, be fixed by making the computer's language English (United States).

I've got windows installed as well now. Compared to Windows 7 it is far faster, and to Windows 8/8.1 it doesn't use like utter garbage. |

Not only did "something" happen, but something happened.

Re: Windows 10
Why don't people just stick with windows 7?
|
Re: Windows 10
Not sure why you would do that. Even windows 8 has superior performance.

Re: Windows 10
I have another computer that has Windows 8 and I honestly can't stand it. It seems like a jumbled mess.

Re: Windows 10
It's almost exactly the same as windows 7.

Re: Windows 10
Windows 10 got stuck during installation after hours, and after restarting, it's now stuck in an infinite loop of restoring the previous version of Windows. Thanks for bricking my computer. If anyone can help let me know.

Re: Windows 10
I have windows 10 and playing ffr on flashplayer 9 is very hard right now. Lag city. But, overall, I think I'm happy to have a slightly different look over windows 7.

Re: Windows 10
I've been hearing Win10 is also having the common issue of .dll files going missing

Flash is dying altogether. Time to update ffr to html5.

Re: Windows 10
Always know I can find helpful gems in the FFR threads, was wondering why I still hadn't gotten the windows 10 update. Now I have it ^.^ Thanks Izzy~

Re: Windows 10
I'm in the same boat as cornman on this one.
I guess you could say all the theorizing & skepticism towards the way they released alpha & beta versions drawing a lot of comparisons to indie game develpment and patch content has me a little bit more than concerned as to whether or not I should switch from windows 7 to 10. I can't help but feel that in the coming months there's going to be a major issue with the latest version of the OS and everyone will need to either update to the latest version, (which is going to be a whole lot more of a pain in the ass than updating a plugin) or wait for a future release and until then, don't use the internet. It just puts a sour taste in my mouth, all the things that could go wrong following the same model as game development in a sense. Also, if it 'aint broke, don't fix it. I'll check back in a few months time. |
Re: Windows 10
It's never not broken in some way. There are always going to be improvements to be made.
