I'm new here, playing for about a week now, great game. It would be great if you could add some metal tracks, there are only a few. I mostly play classical and rock. RAMMSTEIN pls or any good metal bands.

Knowing what's happening on the forums is kinda hard these days unless you lurk a while first.

That said: origins of TWG I can't help you with (might wanna ask thesunfan as he's kinda a know it all about twg, maybe dark manticore too.)

Most often tourneys are ran by users, but once they assemble enough files, one ran by FFR staff will be a thing. (It used to be twice a year but with activity declining and you know, people being kind of picky and saying they want all new files, the process has been slowed down a lot, which is unfortunate. Psychoangel and Halogen have been trying their best to get one ready though. It'll be really hype to see it happen.)

We have really limited record label permissions from when myspace was a thing.

The short hand is that getting those permissions is usually unlikely these days.

Thats a shame :( I really like this game, but it would be far more enjoyable if I were able to play the songs i usually listen to. I guess I'll just stick to classical then, Mozart or Beethoven don't mind if we pirate their music :D

my id here's unnAMD, but I normally use n1nj4 (I had no idea there was another player with that name here...I should've added "_AR")

I played o!mania for like 2 years, but a friend (ReetSM) dragged me back to SM (i've been playing for the past 10 years or so but i just left it collecting dust when i got into osu) + got me into FFR (i'm glad he did it..)

I'm still fighting to nail the offset in order to get a half-decent MA.. but well, i'll get it eventually (but i'm still having fps drops on dense patterns for some reason..currently using "flash player 11 standalone player")

Hello all, I'm Jon and I'm mostly here for my intense addiction to DDR/SM which started back in 2000. My longest combo on heavy/endless/pad was 4106 which I accomplished like 3 years ago and I'm still trying to beat it. (Got close once at around 3800). Soooooo if anyone could direct me to some current pop/dance/rock simfiles you may end up just becoming my best friend. Oh and before any recommends the AMAZING simfiles of Violent Violet he has unfortunately taken a break from making simfiles. Anyway it's nice to meet and keep on dancing ^_^.

Hi I usually go by the nickname Jole but on occasion I'll use Jolo or Jolocaust instead. I play various vsrgs with different keymodes so I guess you can call me a sort of all-rounder. I'm hovering between mid-high D6 in stepmania and I've been literally seconds from clearing insane dan 2 in lr2 - I hope that counts. Apart from playing I also make charts.

Oh and I'm known for liking eurobeat and cars. A lot -u-

Hi I'm a n00b, I almost never make introductions but then again I don't really use the forums either. I stumbled here while taking a break from FFRing (my fingers hurt...) so I might as well say hi!

...Well, to say I'm a n00b is a bit of a lie. I've played FFR on and off for years, probably since 2007? The main reason I made an account was because I missed being able to play songs that got locked away to longstanding players. Feels cheated, man. I always played as a guest but suddenly I need to have 70k credits to play Final Fantasy Last Battle Festival? What gives?! D:

But I was never especially elite at the game, getting a AAA is something I've only done on songs like Counting Snow and getting FCs is really hard for me because I have no desire to play songs in the 0-40ish difficulty range and songs that are 60+ are usually just too fast/complex for me to actually FC.

That doesn't mean I don't enjoy playing the really hard songs! Anyway, that's me in a nutshell.

I guess I'll wrap up my intro with a few fun facts.

- My favorite song is Cosmic Orchestra, and I think the step file for it is AMAZING. Super fun!
- My hardest FC is Epidemic of Unexpected Relapses, which clocks in at 64. Imho that song does not deserve to be ranked so high, but hey, I'll take it.
- The hardest song I can actually digest (I can see everything I'm supposed to do to AAA it) is Blooddrunk, but of course I can't FC that shit.
- My favorite genres are Arcade and Rock.
- I was introduced to FFR by my brother, he lost interest shortly after I surpassed him which took very little time :D
